after-party ♔ september

♬ Jeux d'eau - Ravel
WHO || Wynn, any and all Knights not currently on missions (if you are uncertain if your character would be at the castle for this, ask!)ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.
WHAT || Squiring Ceremony Afterparty
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Ballroom
WHEN || September 1st, 2015, 6:00PM [backdated]
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam
The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).
The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.
Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.
Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

Uh, maybe slow down a little. I mean if you want to get fucking pissed on your first night as an official squire, go for it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

[not even touching the correcting him about being Irish thing yet.]

[...] ...Was that a rhetorical question?

Doesn't matter. But you might want to watch who you ask about slang and stuff. Also, I'm Irish, not British-- just for the record.

I've literally only been exposed to this country through British sci-fi and my old boss. Hopefully, there's a learning curve in place here.

Oh shit, that's bloody hilarious, isn't it? [It might be funnier if you explained why it's funny to you, Andrew.]
no subject
It might be if I was in on the joke?

It's just- Yeah, I know him. He was my mentor and I'm guessing he's yours too. Goes by Zero. He doesn't normally come to these things. You'll have more luck finding him in the computer lab.
no subject
[a beat.] Soo... what's he like? Is he gonna Mr. Miyagi me and make me defrag all the software in the lab before he'll even teach me anything?
no subject
You'll be alright. And if he gets too cranky, come find me.
no subject
[Most of the people he knew in Pegasus were cranky. It just encourages him to be more insufferable.]

[he must constantly surround himself with tall people. it is his life.]
