after-party ♔ september

Jeux d'eau - Ravel

WHO || Wynn, any and all Knights not currently on missions (if you are uncertain if your character would be at the castle for this, ask!)
WHAT || Squiring Ceremony Afterparty
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Ballroom
WHEN || September 1st, 2015, 6:00PM [backdated]
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam

The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I like it here. I am trying to get used to the crowds, but aside from that it is a nice place,a nd very beautiful.

[ Most likely not, but he smiled all the same.]

I am glad you like it so far. Though, yes adjustments can be hard. [She's been through those. She's still making them in some ways; being here without her twin is still not the best thing in the world, but she is managing. Her tone is again both understanding and sympathetic.]

Crowds .. you are not fond of spaces that feel small, either? [Her tone remains the same with that question. After waiting in the rubble of a building for three days while a mortar shell sat close to her face, and with every shift in the bricks, she wasn't sure if it would go off. Of course she came out that one more than a bit claustrophobic to say the least. It had been around sixteen years ago and spaces that feel very small still gives her issues.]

Thank you.

[ He responded with a smile, before he tried to think of how better to explain it.]

It was not so much the small space, but the isolation. The town I was living in had only about 20 of us all together and miles until the next town. The people I lived with were often gone and it was a nice place but just to silent. I will adjust to the crowds its just a shock right now.

That does sound quite small. A town where everyone knows everyone else. Were there at least nice parks or something small like that around to visit?
