The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Just because Oscar has lost access to her hand, doesn't mean Lila is free from his affections as he practically curls around her leg, rubbing against her.

He's like a kid who tries to hug their parents leg then expects them to walk like that.]

Well you've been adopted by one so no problem there. [Grin wry.] Good to meet you though.

Yeah, I have a tendency to adopt them. [ milah loves her, hemi is her bro, lemon and lila like family. oscar is in good company because lila is way nicer to animals than she is to people generally. ]

Don't have one of your own? [Which I guess is almost like code for, hey so do you magic.]

No, just pets. [ which is funny because she does do magic, hers just doesn't come with a familiar. ]

I'd suggest friends for Oscar but, he's under the misconception he's a person not a ferret so I'm not sure how that'd play out.

Aww. [ she looks down at the ferret clinging to her leg like an anklet. ] Are you more cat than snake, khorek?

Unless there's food involved. I've only ever seen him think about biting when somebody tries to get between him and his meal.

You're my kind of people, Oscar. [ new bestie, no big deal. ] So what about you? What's your thing?

Well I don't bite when people get between me and food. I might arrange for their shoelaces to become undone so they trip over their own feet but that's about as drastic as I get. [Grinning back at her.

So that wasn't really her thing but outside of magic, which her familiar would have indicated was a factor, Sawyer wasn't sure she really had one.]
