[ Gold's been gone now for long enough to leave most people assuming that he isn't going to come back. Driven off by confirmation that he was, in fact, the Dark One from the Enchanted Forest by Gaston and Emma, the only indication that he's even alive came in a dream delivered to Belle, where he admitted that he was looking to understand more about this Dark One, perhaps seeking a way to refute the claims of the others. Plenty of people are worried, however, about what direction his search might take him. Others, however, are just plain pissed that he would abandon them without a word - and it's that anger that drove Faye to ally with GLADOS to discover that he was in Glastonbury, and with Lila's help enlist Zero to pinpoint his exact last known whereabouts, at a shitty motel. Together, the girls take a car and head out, hoping to find him once and for all.
There's only one car in the lot when they pull in, the VACANCY sign flashing forlornly above the office door. No lights are visible in any of the rooms, but a COKE machine provides some illumination, along with the lone pair of streetlamps that dully lighten the parking lot. ]

What do you want? [She snaps, voice strained from the tears she's holding back.]

I wanted to make sure you were okay.
[Which she's not, obviously, but there's worry in her tone that indicates she realizes that. Also that she knows she is not who Faye wants to see, but she's here.]

Because you definitely care about me being okay.
[She shakes her head and hurriedly wipes her face of the offensive tears.]
If you want to gloat, just get it over with.
[Because in a way, she was right. Gold had left and purposefully didn't tell her where he was going. He hadn't wanted to be found.]

[She grits her teeth and takes a breath. She doesn't want her temper to get the better of her again, and it'll take more control than she probably has to not lash out when Faye starts laying into her.]
I'm not here to gloat. There's nothing here to gloat about. I've done exactly what you've done and wound up in a similar shitty situation. It sucks, and I'm not going to rub that in.
[Anyone who would gloat about things like this with Faye, considering the way things shook out, is unnecessarily cruel and Cora doesn't consider herself cruel. Not really.]
I didn't tell you what I knew because it wasn't my secret to tell. It wasn't because I didn't care.

Mostly she's mad that it bothers her at all, that these people have this impact on how she feels.]

[What they do or don't do always impacts things and the outcome could have been different. Maybe there would have been more of a team, rather than Lila and Faye going it alone. At the end of the day, they can't change the past, but they can't help but worry about the what-ifs.
She watches her for a moment, before moving and shifting to lean against the wall next to her.]
I am sorry about the way I handled it, though. I didn't get it.

If he had trusted me, he would have told me what was going on with him.

[So, she shouldn't have written Gold off is her point.]
Look, I personally don't care if he comes or goes. He doesn't matter to me. But he matters to a lot of people I care about, including you. I should have helped.

Sometimes you have to pick sides.
