glastonbury ♔ they came snapping at your heels
WHO || Faye, Lila, Gold? [closed]
WHAT || Faye finally has a clue to Gold's location, and goes to confront him about his absence
WHERE || Glastonbury, England
WHEN || After this
HOW || Actionspam
[ Gold's been gone now for long enough to leave most people assuming that he isn't going to come back. Driven off by confirmation that he was, in fact, the Dark One from the Enchanted Forest by Gaston and Emma, the only indication that he's even alive came in a dream delivered to Belle, where he admitted that he was looking to understand more about this Dark One, perhaps seeking a way to refute the claims of the others. Plenty of people are worried, however, about what direction his search might take him. Others, however, are just plain pissed that he would abandon them without a word - and it's that anger that drove Faye to ally with GLADOS to discover that he was in Glastonbury, and with Lila's help enlist Zero to pinpoint his exact last known whereabouts, at a shitty motel. Together, the girls take a car and head out, hoping to find him once and for all.
There's only one car in the lot when they pull in, the VACANCY sign flashing forlornly above the office door. No lights are visible in any of the rooms, but a COKE machine provides some illumination, along with the lone pair of streetlamps that dully lighten the parking lot. ]

her hands push into the pockets of her trench coat as she surveys the motel, eyes slipping to faye. ] So this is fucking disgusting.
[ if she dies in this refuse pile... ]

I guess we can ask the front desk. Do you think he'd be stupid enough to use his actual name?
no subject
she cares about faye finding gold. ] Luckily Sylar and Zero know where we went so if we don't come back they can find our bodies in the alley with no trouble.

He's been at it all day, which leaves him a little tired and a little frustrated- but mostly it leaves him feeling dirty. He still hates every minute of it, no matter how long he continues to work with Hasmed and the others.
Walking through the castle halls, he's used to seeing people coming and going as he heads to find something else to occupy the rest of his day. What he's not used to seeing is this particular face. His father's face. The shock of it stops him dead in his tracks, mutely staring for several long seconds before he manages to work out a single thought:]
It's... you.
no subject
And they'd have me believe there weren't any rumors at all. [he tries to wave him off as he begins to pass him.] Whatever you've heard, I'll be happy to correct it another day.
no subject
But they've done this. And Neal did his best to put a little faith in his father, only to be let down.
The least the bastard could do was remember it.]
You don't know who I am. [He says, his voice falling a little flat before a humorless laugh bubbles up.] Of course you don't. Why would you?

When she does stir awake, Faye shifts in her chair, sitting up straighter.]
Hey. [It feels lame, but she's not sure what else to say except.] It should have been me. I didn't want you to get hurt.

For how blunt her words are, there's definitely concern in her eyes.]

That was her first mistake.
The last few months haven't been easy, and seeing Lila nearly killed because of her inability to just let go of Gold's disappearing act? It was kind of the last straw. Somewhere between leaving Lila's room and making it to her own bedroom, the weight of it presses against her and she just crumbles. Leaning heavily against a nearby wall, Faye can't stop tears from coming as silent sobs wrack her frame. She's doing her best to keep quiet, to stop herself from falling into this helpless feeling, but she's not doing such a great job of it.]
no subject
Faye isn't the only one who blames herself. Part of knows that she should have been there, to take the hits that Lila and Faye weren't built to, but actually voicing that out loud is pointless. She knows that Faye isn't exactly her biggest fan at the moment, given what she had said about Gold earlier, but the feeling isn't mutual.
Also, unfortunately for Faye, not much escapes werewolf hearing (listen 20 total). As she rounds the corner she sees her there, and she wants to reach out to her, but she doesn't know how, really. There's a lot they need to hash out between them. At the same time, Cora doesn't want to leave her alone.
Her face sobers for a moment, flickering with uncertainty of what to do, before she steps forward and tries to get the other girl's attention.]
Faye?
no subject
What do you want? [She snaps, voice strained from the tears she's holding back.]

or at least ... it was. until they get closer to london, where traffic is at a dead stop. cars are legit parked. sylar squints at a sign instead of looking ... towards the fuckin' skyline. he's so smart.] Does that say there are delays because of dragons?
no subject
Pretty sure dragons aren't native to London, dude. I don't know that much about them, but this just definitely doesn't seem like their kinda thing.
[he stares at the ceiling. also instead of the sky. this is clearly Team Wisdom.] Probably like... Metaphorical dragons.
