[ Gold's been gone now for long enough to leave most people assuming that he isn't going to come back. Driven off by confirmation that he was, in fact, the Dark One from the Enchanted Forest by Gaston and Emma, the only indication that he's even alive came in a dream delivered to Belle, where he admitted that he was looking to understand more about this Dark One, perhaps seeking a way to refute the claims of the others. Plenty of people are worried, however, about what direction his search might take him. Others, however, are just plain pissed that he would abandon them without a word - and it's that anger that drove Faye to ally with GLADOS to discover that he was in Glastonbury, and with Lila's help enlist Zero to pinpoint his exact last known whereabouts, at a shitty motel. Together, the girls take a car and head out, hoping to find him once and for all.

There's only one car in the lot when they pull in, the VACANCY sign flashing forlornly above the office door. No lights are visible in any of the rooms, but a COKE machine provides some illumination, along with the lone pair of streetlamps that dully lighten the parking lot. ]

Cash, right, of course. [ he'll take their money, and in return provide the key, putting a finger on the side of his nose to be like it's cool, no names. ] There you are.

[ lila handles the transaction, resisting the urge to roll her eyes at this guy, and delicately taking the key in hand. ]

Thanks, you've been a doll. See you in the morning. [ not that she wants to sleep in this probably rat infested flea bag motel (this is where the black plague will begin), but she wants to get this over with. ] Come on, Cinnamon, let's go.

[ she will purposely stride out of there, yes sirree. gonna instasoap the shit out of her hands. ]

[Faye heads out with Lila now that they have the key. She even manages not to gag until they make it out of earshot. She follows any signs to get them towards the room they need.]

He better have left some clue behind... [She grumbles.]

[ they find the room, and get it open, heading inside. it's not very spacious, but the bed is made. the only real sign that someone was here is that the trash is full of empty ramen boxes and the stench of shame. ]

Well. [ she puts her hands on her hips. ] Sure as fuck didn't pack dignity with him on this trip.

[ as she glances around, she casts arcane sight, eyes flaring bright blue as she double checks to see if he left some magical sign of his whereabouts. ]

[ no magic in sight actually! ]

[meanwhile, Faye starts looking around the room. Gingerly. She doesn't want to actually touch much (search 17)]

[ lila is slightly better (22), but that can be marked down to the fact that she put gloves on. :) ]

[ what lila finds is a pad of motel stationary next to the phone. while nothing's written on it, she can just barely make out the indentations of writing from the page above it, which gives an address. ]

[ rifling around in her purse, she does not find a pencil (because why??) but she finds her eye shadow and uses that to highlight the indentations. (decipher script 23) ]

Got an address!

Great. [Faye will snatch that and pop it into her phone. She rides shotgun so that makes her navigator on this adventure.]

Let's go.

[ with another cursory glance that reveals nothing else, lila leads them back to the car, pocketing the room key in case they need to come back. ]

Does it say what it is? [ she starts up the car to drive them to the next location (drive 17), visibly irritated by the runaround. ]

[ the phone just shows it as an address, no particular business or anything. it seems to be vaguely out in the middle of nowhere, however. ]

Of course not. [She shows her the map] It's basically nowhere.

[ lila looks horrified. gross. nature. ] Maybe he's fucking around with the Unabomber. [ forever bitter in regards to constantine's lack of cell phone. WHAT KIND OF PERSON.

but off she drives, zoom! ]

[ off they drive, into the countryside, and the address takes them to what appears to be a very creepy farmhouse set in front of the woods. one car is parked in the driveway. rustling leaves blow across the lawn, providing a splash of color to what otherwise seems like a dreary black and white photograph of a place.

[ wis 19, lila steps out of the car like i'm having some serious trauma flashbacks to black and white land and i don't like it. whispers unabomber. ]

about this place.

it's in the very air, as if it hangs with a sense of real dread. faye would even go as far as to say it's evil magic. ]

Stay behind me, alright? [ if this is going to get weird, Faye isn't letting Lila get hit with anything first. But she'll start to approach the other car to see if there's a way to confirm that Gold brough it here, spot 17]
