The Knights might have known better than to expect their unseating of Dimitris Sarandis from his position as dictator would go without reprisal.  The sudden attack staged by Sarandis killed several Knights and leveled part of their home, shaking their confidence, but not their resolve.  It's hardly surprising, then, that the moment a lead has arisen as to Dimitris' whereabouts, the Knights are prepared to spring into action.

That lead has come in a surprising form - as Sir Dumage Moulet returns with the news that her sister, Amanda, is engaged to wed Sarandis, and that she's willing to do whatever it takes to prevent that from occurring, even at the risk of potentially compromising the cover she has established with the villains.

[Felicity just takes all of this in and is ... already slightly on edge. Usually people are grateful for help, rather than the other way around, but okay.

But she's not going to be sullen about it. She's just going to shrug it off.]

I think what everyone means to say is, Welcome. [Actually it's pretty clear Rose doesn't GAF what everyone means to say. She's been the new person in this group and she knows that shit ain't easy.]

[ Drumming up a smile, Buffy nods enthusiastically in concert with Rose's assessment, even if it looks like that's still not really the full story for her. ]

The more the merrier. [ Then, to Vi and Elena. ] Actually, speaking of topping that, I'm betting it's no coincidence that Rafael and Mark both got passed over for an invite.

They're both a bit high profile for this sort of thing. But we are certainly grateful for all of you for being here. This is potentially quite a dangerous assignment. [ she can't stop herself from glancing around, thinking about those who've died or worse in the name of their mission ]

And here I thought we were just trying to reduce the chances of friendly fire. [He glances around.] Hey, Archer's not here either. Maybe Wynn's wising up.

[As if on cue...] Yeah or maybe go fuck yourself, Spike.

[Archer saunters past, martini in hand, which promptly cascades to the ground when he catches sight of Steve.]

Bahahahaha! Ho... holy shit. [He doubles over, and grabs hold of a chair, laughing so hard he's out of breath.] nobody told me we were doing costumes! Since when are we doing costumes?!

[ Steve's only in this until he can find clothes for whatever this mission is. He plans to put them over it. Or attempt to. He squirms a bit and looks at Archer. He doesn't know what to say really. ] It's not really a costume. It's a bulletproof tac suit. [ No, Steven, it's basically a costume. ]

[des leans back in his chair and folds his arms over his chest.]

Is the star part of the brand name or just a personal touch? No judgment. If your aesthetic convinces Archer to wear a cape, I'm all for it.

I think it suits him. [Myri says, piping up in defense of Steve's outfit. She gives Archer a disapproving shake of her head before looking over at Steve.]

You look... heroic. [There's really no other word for it.]

[ Steve looks over to Des when he asks. Then to Myri when she says it suits him. He gives her a soft smile and a thankful nod. His attention goes back to Des. ]

Yeah it's kinda old fashioned, but during World War 2 it was important to keep moral up. The design wasn't done by me. I was kind of a well known figure during that time. The suit helped me stand out. I guess I sorta like it now.

If only bulletproof bodysuits stood up to what some of our enemies are capable of, I'd happily wear one too.

[She crosses her arms over her chest and leans back in her seat.]

Unfortunately, bullets are the least of our worries.

World War II. [he clicks his tongue] But these are very different trenches, soldier boy. Elena's right. I would highly recommend seeing about tinfoil hats. It's about the only thing we haven't tried on these psion bitches.

[Still wiping tears from his eyes, Archer fumbles his way to a seat.]

I think I'll stick to my Tactylneck. Though capes are totally making a comeback, and I can totally rock one, if necessary.

I would just be careful not to do both at the same time. Depending on the color cape + turtleneck could start edging you into dramatic vampire territory.

[And no one wants that, clearly. It is a very poor fashion choice.]

Hey, as the resident vampire here, I'm offended. [Spike gestures to Archer.] Don't compare his fashion choices to me! I'd never wear a turtleneck or a cape!

I've been around the block. Not just World War Two. [ He'll have to adjust. He knows things are different and weirder here. ] Thanks for the warning.[ He nods to Des. ] I wasn't aware people wore turtlenecks and capes together.

[ and then wynn walks in like a mofo from behind his giant glowy doors. hello everyone~ ]

I see you've all gathered. We'll get right to the point. [ he places one hand on the table, looking between them all in turn, a determined fire in his eyes. ] Your mission is to capture Dimitris Sarandis alive and return him to me, so that we can put an end once and for all to this man's evil schemes.

[Spike raises his hand.]

How firm are you on the alive bit? Cause I really don't feel like holding back.

[oh that explains why you need fourteen people for this. for a second there, Des was worried this was overkill.]

Which explains so much about the spread of talent you've laid out here. I figured that couldn't just be because you won't split up the dream team if you can help it.

[Not that Felicity is pleased about the lack of killing Sarandis, she's mostly just going to focus on the job at hand. And given the commentary that Des made earlier about breaking into a wedding (wisdom 12).]

So ... how are we going to do this? A simple snatch and grab or are we going to try and lure him out?

I hate being the one to ask it, but ... [ Buffy turns her attention to Wynn. ] When we bring him back alive, what then? What are we going to do with him?

[ not bothering to wait to hear if anyone is happy or unhappy (or ?????) about that, he moves on to address felicity's question. ] We have received intelligence that Sarandis will be wed tomorrow, in a private ceremony, whose location we have secured on account of the bride - Amanda Moulet - being a blood relative of our own Sir Moulet, who has returned to deliver this information to us. [ whatever wynn thinks about dumage's 'defection' post-andres doesn't show for a moment on his face, which remains grave, his focus clearly on the mission at hand. dumage, for her part, shifts slightly in her seat, taking another long drag off her cigarette. ] Sarandis' guest list will no doubt be small, and Sir Moulet has learned that there will be not so much as a rehearsal of the wedding beforehand. Our best chance to confront him is at the ceremony itself. As she has been unable to secure a list of the guests, we must assume that there will be civilians in attendance. As such, a degree of subterfuge will be required to keep this from erupting into a fight that could catch innocents in the crossfire. I have prepared a plan to this end, however, as we do not know which of Sarandis' powerful allies will be present, I will be leaving it in the hands of Sir Gar to decide if more direct confrontation is necessary.

Your primary goal is to make certain that Sarandis does not escape.

If the only way to do this is through an application of lethal force, then I will accept that over losing our opportunity. But make no mistake [ here, his eyes narrow slightly, as he gets his dad voice on ] - should Sir Gar report back to me that anyone here chose to take his life prematurely when there was some means to deliver him alive, I will trust her judgement implicitly, and you can consider that your resignation of the title of Knight of my order.

Are Felicity, Astrid, Elena, and Steve the infiltration force? Since he doesn't know their faces. [ no one recognizes elena's face unless she wants them to, but vi isn't so sure what details sarandis knows about their organization anymore. ] Theoretically.
