He's a real stickler. [She wrinkles her nose.] Especially if it's about the Revolution era. Don't know if I ever mentioned, but he's kind of a special case.

[If anyone is going to believe her about Crane, it would be someone within the Knights.]

[She nods in agreement. The stories she could tell Abbie about her partner. If she actually remembered her partner. :(]

He sounds like a trip.

[Her fingers are still privately crossed that he does turn up, personally. Kate can make the call for herself then. For now, Abbie inclines her head towards the TV, reaching to pull the pizza box closer to the both of them as she makes herself comfortable.]

Dinner and a movie. You're not a half-bad date, you know.

[She smirks a bit at that, before taking another bite of her pizza.]

[Abbie smirks in reply, helping herself to her own piece.]

Keep it up and you might be looking at a second date. Hard to resist getting fed.

Always good to know that can be found reliably around here.

[Really, Kate is probably the best date she could have asked for. The Hawley situation still feels littered with landmines, for once.]

My thoughts exactly. Though honestly, when I first saw this movie, I was in it for Cary Elwes.

[Come on, she was a kid and he was cute. What girl didn't have a crush?

She raises a fist, offering it to Kate without looking over. Punch it in, sister.]

[And she will do just that, returning the fistbump before reaching for another slice of pizza.]

I'm a sucker for The Princess Bride. The romance gets me every time.

[Part of the reason she'd made sure it was among the first batch of movies she sat Crane down to watch. She grabs another slice for herself, settling back against her seat.]
