[What better way to celebrate love than watching the brand new Deadpool movie that just came out? By which I mean, of course, Deadpool got his hands on a camera and has been spending all his time not being an active knight making a home movie. About himself. Featuring everyone's favorite other Ryan Reynolds face, David Levin as flashback Deadpool. David probably doesn't realize this. Deadpool can be sneaky when he feels like it.

Anyway, this movie is being released worldwide somehow but of course Deadpool will hose a special, romantic showing of it in the castle on Valentine's Day! Since there is an actual movie theater I checked. Anyone who wants to congratulate him on his new stardom can find him in the front row, eating popcorn and sobbing.]

I can finally have icons that look like me. I'm so happy. Sort of.

[And in the process of creating this footage, he manages to sneak up on David in the shower. It takes him a bit to notice him (wisdom 7), but by the time he does and he catches Deadpool filming him in the shower he doesn't hesitate.

[So while Kate does not have a Valentine's date, she never said she doesn't want company for her usual Valentine's Day routine. Wine, movies and pizza are always a good way to spend a holiday she doesn't want to think too much about. Having a friend along is the perfect addition to the mix.

She shifts through the movie library, as Abbie settles in, pausing as she pulls off a few options.]

[Abbie has never been great at Valentine's Day. In general, relationships have always been something of a gray area for her, something she's pretty sure some part of her is supposed to want but that she can never seem to prioritize or maintain. She's more than happy to join Kate, however, having turned up with a bottle of wine in-hand, prepared to contribute.]

I think today tends to be saccharine enough without us having to amp it up with something cute. Also had enough gore lately to last awhile. Comedy by process of elimination?

[ So guess who picked a somewhat terrible day to come home? Well, at least it's not the worst day to come back -- that would have been in the middle of the recent attack. It's at the forefront of her mind, though, as the car carrying Dawn back to the castle pulls up the drive. She knew it was bad, knew what had happened, but there's a major difference between knowing and seeing. And seeing the place she calls home under so much repair sits on her chest like a weight.

Or that could just be the guilt from not being here to help creeping up.

At least she packed remarkably light for being away for nearly two years, save for her knighting ceremony and short breaks. She doesn't have much to begin with, and anything that wasn't an immediate need is being shipped over. It'll make it easier to get around, especially if there are still ladders instead of stairs.

So come say hello, if you aren't busy with your significant others and whatnot. ]

[ vi is not the biggest fan of valentine's day, to be honest. it's winter and it's the day she met luthir and since her husband is sort of super dead, much of the appeal is lost to her. which is why she's just so pleased to see dawn.

[It's a fairly standard night out as far as the rest of the world is likely concerned, considering it is Valentine's Day, but as far as Felicity is concerned she and Thoster are in need of a nice night out. After getting all dressed up for the evening (disguise 21), she makes her way to the front desk to grab the keys for their car and to wait for her date.

As much as they've been seeing as each other now that they're living together, she's been looking forward to this and she hopes that he is too.]

[Thoster arrives not long after Felicity. He's dressed to impress (disguise 26) and sporting a brilliant smile as he meets her in the lobby.]

Aren't you a lovely sight. Hope you've got a proper date coming along and not some scoundrel.

[He moves to close the distance between them, leaving little in the way of personal space. One hand moves to her hip while the other moves out to the side, a chain draped across two finger, letting a pendant drop to hang in her view.]

[Sweets is pretty much bouncing around like a kid on sugar all day as he makes his last minute preparations for his date. He gets himself all dressed up (disguise 18), picked up the flowers - lavender roses, because he knows how she feels about red ones - and swings the car back around just in time to pick up his date.

He's excited - it's the first Valentine's in a while where he's really had someone to share it with, and he's glad that Paige wants to share it with him. So he'll be here, hanging out by the car with the flowers and waiting for her to make her way outside.]

[Paige spent way too long getting herself together, having avoided dating since well after high school for reasons based entirely around her religion and cleric training and her music, so this night has to be special. As such, when she steps outside looking pretty in pink with her tiny silver harp pinned to the sleeve (disguise 21), she's all but glowing in hope for this to turn into a special night.

Still, she can't help but blush when she sees Lance all snazzed up. She waves tentatively, a teasing smile tugging on the edge of her lips.]

Excuse me, dashing stranger, but have you seen Lance Sweets anywhere? He's supposed to pick me up.

[is it February 14th? my, Sark didn't even realize the day when he bought this dozen roses and left them at the front counter with a note. (and then promptly had to hover to make sure Cheryl actually called Sydney down to receive said delivery lest she decide to hoard the flowers for herself and ignore the note entirely- she seems the type)

either way, when Sydney arrives to pick up her flowers, she'll find a note among them telling her to come outside, which sounds like a horror movie stalker situation if there ever was one. good thing she's Sydney Goddamn Bristow.

[ ah domestic bliss. alice is used to waking up to dogs padding all across the bed and whining for her to take them out or feed them because they're starving. she's less used to waking up to tiny little paws pressing on to her cheeks and a tiny little tongue licking her nose with a high pitched plaintive whine.

alice's eyes flutter open to find an exceptionally teeny puppy headbutting her and she coos on reflex, automatically curling him (her?) into her hands. ]

That's pretty good. But how about-- [Whatever he was going to say is cut off by the fact that his left foot suddenly dashes out to the side. His hands thankfully let go of hers at the last minute, so he doesn't drag her down with him, but he does crash to the ice with a thud. (dex 9)]

[Big elaborate dates and epic romantic gestures aren't really for people like them. Rose would have been just as happy to spend the whole day shut up in their room. Watching netflix and eating food they'd raided from the kitchen but with all the shit they've been dealing with lately? Opportunities to shut out the world and just be together were few and far between and she wasn't sure when they were going to get another chance to do something like this for a while.

Rose hadn't even made it out of the Hide Wing when she doubles back to the room. The food she'd promised to return with nowhere to be seen.]

[ Dawn would be lying if she said she hadn't felt a pang of jealousy watching all the happy reuniting couples at the airport. And by pang, she means large gong going off repeatedly. She didn't know if she had ever had someone to celebrate Valentine's Day with before passing through the Veil, but she knows she hasn't had anyone special since. Womp-womp. Such is life.

When she spots the man crossing her path, she smiles in greeting, assuming the flowers are for his valentine. ]

More likely she'll get too drunk to be bothered going anywhere and end the night passed out where she lands.

[ Walking out of his bedroom to find a girl passed out on his couch - while certainly not a typical morning for Hawley - has happened enough times over the past few months that he's not quite finding it shocking anymore. If anything, it has him stopping short for a moment and blinking at the sight, trying to remember if he'd known she was out here before deciding that no, no his rooms had most certainly been empty when he'd fallen into bed last night.

Still, he's more amused than upset as he wanders over to lean over the back of the couch, reaching to pluck a stray lock of Kenzi's hair off her face and tickle her nose with it. ]

[Her plans with Kate were the only ones Abbie had bothered to make-- Valentine's Day hasn't been on her radar for a few years now; even when she'd had a serious boyfriend, work had taken priority and she'd managed to forget to make time for anything personal. That was often the case with her, though even as she cleans up the remains of her and Kate's movie night, she has to admit that it was nice to take a day off and allow herself some time to relax, for once. She could probably do with more of that-- but as it stands, she doesn't plan to venture out from her room for the rest of the night, which is why it comes as a surprise when someone knocks.]

[ When she opens the door he's standing there in the hall with a single long-stemmed red rose in one hand and a large bag of M&M's in the other. He offers them both at the same time with a crooked grin and a mischievous glint in his eyes. ]

[His first few days among the Knights have largely been spent milling around the castle, getting acquainted with the way things are laid out-- something he's glad to have picked up on rather quickly when the time comes to seek out his supposed mentor. Tara's room is empty when he goes to look for her there, leading him to make his way to the Dragon's Light's wing, grimacing as he pokes his head in to have a look around.

Really, of all the places in the castle he could visit, he's probably the most out of place here-- or maybe not, depending on one's perspective of his profession, though it feels strange to him regardless. He whistles once before calling out:]

Hey, Sir Anklebiter, you in here? I come bearing gifts.

[Because it wouldn't be Valentine's Day if he didn't offer her his heart and some good old-fashioned chocolates.]

[Taradiddle lets out a shriek and runs over.] Ahhh, I can't believe it!

[She is so happy to see.... the chocolate. Which is made clear when she ignores him and just grabs the box of chocolate. She has priorities.]

[Even under normal circumstances, Malia is pretty certain that she wouldn't be exactly Valentine's Day's best customer. However, she's trying to move beyond her borderline stalker-moment with Stiles and just be glad that she's here and she's going to be useful. Once she goes on a mission. Which will probably happen once she gets a handle on her shifting and the changes in her abilities here. Cora, she supposes, is going to help her out with that. She just has to actually let her help.

Right now, though, Malia is learning all about the horrible outcome of buying the one assortment of chocolate that does not have the nifty guide to it. She's wary, because she's already eaten a few pieces that were awful.]

[Cora spots her with her box of chocolates, and makes her way closer. She still doesn't know how to deal with Malia sometimes, but she's at least trying to make the effort. She takes a deep breath as she makes her way closer, taking in the scents of different chocolates (survival 15), before glancing up at her again.]

[Olivia is walking now, which means that Hayley doesn't always have to carry her around. It also means that Hayley has to keep a much closer eye on the would-be witch-werewolf-vampire baby. The good thing about her being mobile, though, is that means there's a lot more cute things that she can coax her little one into doing. Such as walking across paper with wet paint on her feet to create adorable Valentine's Cards.

Currently, Olivia is dressed as the cutest Love Bug you ever did see and Hayley follows behind her in an oversized deep red sweater and dark jeans. She'll be more than happy to hand anyone a Valentine for the day.]

[Rebekah isn't planning on staying in the castle for the holiday. She's spent far too many Valentine's Days in coffins at the behest of her brother and then when she wasn't sleeping an eternal sleep with a dagger in her chest, she was doing other things -- such as running from their father -- instead of celebrating the holiday. Rebekah is a very big fan of love. So, she dresses for the occasion, wearing a red mesh dress.

In the lobby, she leans against a wall, scrolling through the list of area bars that are holding events for the night. She can be persuaded to not attend them or she can try to persuade someone to join her for the night.]

[Kate's plans for the evening are "in" rather than "out" but that doesn't mean she hadn't needed to swing out for some supplies. She catches Rebekah as she's coming back in, and gives her a small smile in return.]

[Pizza Pilgrims is a bit out of the way for Jo as she makes her way back to the castle, but she's heard the detour is worth it and figures it's been a while since she's had good pizza and why not adventure out with something new? It dawns on her as she watches the guys swing by to pick up their orders with bouquets of flowers in hand.]

Great. [The only thing Jo likes about Valentine's Day is the discount chocolate the day after and that's really pushing it, because she'll take a Nestle Crunch over some fancy expresso dusted, dark chocolate coated truffle. What it means for her right now, is that her pizza is going to take a while, because she didn't call ahead and they've got all the orders from guys that thought ahead enough to call in their order.

Finally, though, she got her pie and she's allowed that aroma to float through the castle - from the lobby to the kitchen where she's planning on stuffing her face and drinking some beer.]

David is also incredibly pissed at Deadpool so right now he's taking it out on a punching bag in the gym. He's wandered down to the kitchen for some water after a long session with the heavy bag, when he catches the scent of the pizza.]

[Given how long he spent in the coma, a Valentine's Day date should probably be the last thing on his mind. But the last time he remembers that he forgot to do anything without having the coma as an excuse, wasn't exactly... pleasant.

So while Emma is off doing whatever it is Emma does, he gets ready (disguise 16) and he might have been in a coma, but he's more than aware Emma knows exactly what he has planned. After so long of being apart, having her back in his head is comforting. Once he's suitably ready, (read: by his standards, so there's likely a few things out of place and he's wearing those damn sunglasses which cuts the attractiveness of the outfit in half anyway) he tracks her down.]

[ Armed with the telepathic knowledge of Scott's plans, Emma takes a treat yoself approach to Valentine's Day and spends the morning having her own personal spa day, deliberately ignoring squire problems in rare form. Students can hold their fuckin horses for a day while she manicures her nails and waxes.

By the time Scott tracks her down in the downstairs bathrooms down the hall from the Fire wing where her room resides, she's out of her bathrobe and into a snug, white lace bodysuit with a plunging neckline and thin bands holding it together in the middle. This description would feel gratuitous for any other character, but it's Emma Frost, so I'm leaving it.

She tosses wavy blonde hair over her shoulder and meets his gaze in the mirror. ]

Right on time. [ Though the smile doesn't touch her lips, it glows in her eyes, just as a certain positivity has pervaded her stride in a way that it hasn't since she returned to the castle—until now. Until Scott woke up. The haze of icy cynicism seems to have lifted, somewhat, though Scott can't properly appreciate the disparity between how she had been without him and her countenance now. Regardless, her joy very apparently doesn't come from surprise at seeing him. ] I don't suppose you brought my coat.

Mars || OTA

[ After being sick a little while after Christmas, Mars was taking any chance he could to go out and about. Which is the only reason he went out on Valentine's day. He was out in the garden trying to keep Venus from getting in the way of construction. His brown hair was untied for once and randomly catching in the wind. He didn't have a hair tie on him so it had a mind of it's own today.

Figuring Venus would stop wondering off, Mars opened up the book he was reading and let himself zone into it. AS always though, miss Kitty wandered to go find people while her human was ignoring humanity.]

[You know who is always up for making new animals friends? This girl. Cora spots Venus as she's bringing her Bernese Mountain dog back from his walk and she smiles softly before crouching down to get to know her (handle animal 20).]

[ It was earlier than Deryn was usually awake or back at the castle since the attack most of his time was spent at a hotel, at least until his room would be liveable. For as much as he mostly got christmas and new years, Valentines day was an alien thing. So as he made his way down the halls in his usual black on black he just kind of blinked at some of the people he passed. There sure were a lot of happy people today.]

[ winter loves love so valentine's day is pretty much where it's at for her and she has a pep in her step as she strolls down the hall, only to find deryn looking rather confused at a young couple kissing, a bundle of flowers clutched in one of the girl's hands.

winter only caught him looking because she was looking. ] Bon dia. Hi. I feel the same way honestly, roses are so over done. Tsk. [ she's teasing and glances over at deryn with a smile. ] No Valentine for you?

[ vi no longer has a valentine, so the day finds her (after greeting dawn) doing what she always does when she's missing her husband and her best friend -- she goes swimming. she misses elena, too, so it's a natural choice. lucia loves the water and she's happy to splash around, slapping her chubby hands against the water and scooting herself around in her little boat shaped float, trying her best to chase vi as fast as her tiny little legs can propel her.

she looks up when she hears someone enter, half expecting to find myri and shayla heading in, but instead it's a pretty brunette stranger. ] Hey. 's up?

I'm sorry. I didn't expect anyone would be here: someone told me today's a holiday. [ To spend with, y'know, other people. Rey's used to being alone, keenly practiced, so she doesn't even look sorry about that fact either. She moves to sit at the edge of the pool, prying off her boots and rolling up the edge of her pants. Her eyes flicker briefly, distant envy turned to a wistful look at the child whose mother carries her about in the pool to teach her how it's done. ] I won't be in your way.

Steve & Cordelia | Closed

[ On a hill somewhere very pretty in England is Steve Rogers with Cordelia Chase on his back. It's super gross and romantic as he takes her up to where he's set up his picnic for them. ] Hold tight. Not much further. [ Steve grins to himself as he gives her a piggy back ride up the rest of the hill and to where the blanket is laid out with the basket and roses set aside. Of course Steve Rogers plans his second date to be on Valentine's Day. It's just how he is. ]

[ cordelia is holding on for dear life, arms wrapped around that sizable chest, as she lets out a thrilled shriek of laughter as they crest the hill.

when she notices the picnic, her eyes get wide. ] You did all this?

Somewhere out in the vast world is Oliver Queen. He's on an island or on a boat or freighter or row boat. He's on a mountain or a glacier. He's somewhere that isn't here with the Knights. Felicity doesn't know where he is. Nope. What she does know is that they sell frozen margaritas in bags. Already made. Just freeze and pour.

She has frozen. She has poured. She has repeated that process, but this time she's skipping the pour. She's using a spoon to eat the tequila laden slush out of the pouch. Sitting on a couch, with a bag of Dove chocolate squares. Not that chocolate and tequila really go well together, but she doesn't care. Not when the squares are telling her nice things. One just told her "You're gorgeous." Which, she totally is with her yoga pants and t-shirt that says "Eat. Sleep. Code.".

When Barry goes searching for Felicity Smoak to see what she is up to, this is not the scene he expects to find. Not that he doesn't think she's very pretty, and would agree with those chocolate ego boosters, but he never pictured her being the "wallow on Valentine's Day" type.

That being said, he's poised to intervene and save her from himself - or at least save her from her hangover. "Hey," he begins gently. "Having fun?"

[THIS IS PRE-MURDER WEDDING. Probably. /waves a hand at the timeline.

Regardless, THEY LET SWEETS OUT OF THE CASTLE. He's in the field and he is very excited. This is also why they put Buffy on this mission, probably so she could pick up the slack for him combat-wise. Sweets can't actually fight anything, so they let Buffy fight all the things.

That being said, the small team of four was brought in to Italy to take care of a small problem for the police, and while they were wrapping things up they heard through the grapevine about a potential Shadowkind that was making dangerous crystals rain from the sky and was being tracked down by the government.

Naturally, they're not about to let that happen so after Felicity quietly hacks the CCTV cameras to help track down where that Shadowkind might have fled to. They manage to narrow it down to a small couple block radius, so they're going in to finish things the old fashioned way. Which Sweets is actually rather decent at helping with (search 19).]

These are the houses we saw on the security feeds. I think we're getting close.

[This is actually Paige's first mission that wasn't IN FUCKING BAROVIA, so she's pretty grateful to be dealing with something small in a beautiful place... and also staying close to Sweets. He's squishy. :(] I just hope we find them before someone else does.
