Is there something wrong with trying to curry a little favor?

People keep asking me to demonstrate my healing abilities and then bitching when it turns out there needs to be an injury before I can heal anything.

And if you mention anything I used to do where anyone else can hear you you'll have to start looking for spare parts for personal use, and I don't think I have to remind you what's easiest for me to reach.

[Is he joking? Probably. But you never really know.]

[She rolls her eyes and slides the dagger away.] How many times do I have to tell you, Z? Your penis only registers your feelings.

[It's the kind of teasing he probably couldn't get away with were she anyone else-- but if she was anyone else, he wouldn't even try.]

Anyway, you have my word. You know that's usually good for something.

[She tilts her head, touching her chin thoughtfully.] I mean.... [She wiggles her hand side to side.] Something.

Well, it's better than nothing, isn't it?

[Even if it isn't always the most reliable something?]

[She tilts her head, then shrugs.] I suppose. [Then she grins.] It'll be good to have you around. Where I can watch your every move in case you get out of line.

[He smiles just a little, offering her a quick and informal half-bow.]

Truth be told, I could probably use someone keeping an eye on me. In the market for some-- what do you call them. Good influences?

You, looking for good influences? [She gasps, putting a hand to her mouth.]

[His smile pulls wider, going full-blown smirk.]

Maybe you inspired me.

Me? [She touches her chest.] Oh, stop, I'll blush.
