First of all, gross. Second of all, if the mob is run by the mind reader, don't you think they'd already know about your family? And, like, third of all, do I strike you like someone attracted to mob lifestyles? I'm from Virginia.

[ quietly, as she turns back to her cleaning supplies, a question that isn't meant to be answered. ] What else do you think my life is?

Fine. [ she sounds slightly apologetic, but not enough yet to actually apologize. ]

Anyway... did you have any questions? About the Knights, I mean.

I have a lot. [ she drops back to her knees. scrub scrub scrub. she has a veritable list of things she wanted to address with her mentor knight. as flighty as she can seem, she doesn't do things lightly and she strives to be well informed since it satiates her neurotic control freak tendencies. ] What can you tell me about castle politics? Are there certain important people that I should be aware of? Who is the best person to ask for advice? What's the reputation of each sect within the Knights? Is there anyone I should avoid or make an effort to seek out?

[ she pauses there, realizing it's a lot, but it's only the very tip of the titanic sinking iceberg. ]

Politics? [ he smirks a bit ] I guess I haven't thought about it that way. But there are leaders of each sect. Do you know who they are?

[highlyemotional]

Of course I do. [ she pauses cleaning to tick them off on her hand like she's answering a test question. ] Sir Trinall is the division head of the Hoard, Sir Solace of the Light, Sir Koraith of the Tongue, Sir Hasmed of the Fire, and Sir Ironsides of the Hide. Additionally, Sir Ellison is the head of the Dragon's Mind which is psionic stuff mainly and technically part of the Dragon's Fire. And Sir Chessing is the remaining Dragon's Claw.

I've been on the honor roll since we started getting letter grades. I like to be prepared.

Should've guessed. Anyway, you're right. They're recognized as sort of the resident experts in their sect, and they're the ones to go to with questions related to their specialty, usually.

The sects themselves seem pretty general, though. Not one can be an expert in all magic or all.. Whatever the Dragon's Tongue actually does.

Diplomacy. They're the politicians, sort of.

Politics isn't exactly specific. [ which harks back to her comment about sects being general. ]

No, but their job is to know who to point you to in their sect if there is something more specific you need.

[highlyemotional]

So they delegate. [ caroline loves delegating and she seems intrigued by the idea, but shakes her head a tiny bit like she's trying to focus. ] Okay. Is there anyone I shouldn't try to approach?

Sir La Krail isn't exactly the friendliest guy.

What sect is he in?

He's not. He's a Freelancer.

The sect for square pegs. [ she nods. ] And what do you expect from me?
