[ it's venus who finds faith, actually, probably because faith often does what she can to lure the friendly cat into her room with treats, lbr, and she tends to leave her door cracked. even though it's the middle of the day, she's sleeping in an overstuffed chair in the room, although it appears anything but restful. she's tossing and turning, and murmuring things in her sleep, sounding increasingly upset by whatever she's seeing. ]

[ And Venus falls for the treats every time. Not that she minds at all, she loves friendly humans, and Faith is a wonderful human friend. So while her pet human was engrossed in his book and hiding she had made her way to the room where she figured she could play at least with other animals if not another human AND get treats!

Venus seeing the fitful rest the pretty one is having she padded over after nudging the door more with her nose and climbed up the chair with retaliative ease of a cat. She moved up and nuzzled her face against Faith's arm, mewing loudly. Like she's used to waking people from bad dreams.]

[moonheart]

[ it takes quite a bit of mewling to finally wake her, but when she does, she looks like she's coming out of the heaviest kind of sleep, blinking drearily a few times before she finds the cat. ] --huh?

[ her eyes roam around the room and she reaches up to rub them both, shaking her head ] Oh man... [ one hand reaches up idly to pet venus' head gratefully ] Good timing.

[charismapotion]

[ Venus sits quietly while Faith rubs at her eyes, rumbling contently at the petting. Those to knowing cat orange eyes looking up at her with concern.]

[moonheart]

[ she notices that look, and reaches over to grab her some snacks even as she says: ] Where's that guy of yours at? Does he know you snuck off to see me?

[charismapotion]

[ Venus happily swooshes her tail side to side, she's so spoiled. She cants her head towards the door to indicate he was out and about, but the truth of it. He didn't know where she had snuck off to. She sneaks off a lot.]

[moonheart]

Maybe we can go find him. You think?

[charismapotion]

[ He shifts her head like she was nodding and made her way down with all the grace of a cat to the floor padding towards the door. She knew exactly where she left her human.

Venus was leading them to the garden, where Mars was sitting on the ground, with a bag of cat threats sitting beside him. Totally engrossed in a large book.]

[moonheart]

[ faith follows dutifully, pulling her robe around herself as if there was a chill in the halls. she flops down next to mars on the grass when they get there. ] Hey.

[charismapotion]

[ Venus crawled right up on his lap and stuck her head into the treat bag, pulling a treat out and went back to eating again. Mars blinked a bit, not only at faith but Venus, who he didn't even realize was missing. His hair was messy from the wind.]

Hey, what brings you out here? [ he asked, even if he was pretty sure it was the cat sitting sprawled over his lap.]

[moonheart]

[ she can't help but laugh a little at his hair, and reaches out a hand as if to pat it down for him before stopping herself and dropping her hand in her lap. ] Bad dreams, I guess.

[charismapotion]

It's hopeless. [ He didn't jerk away when she tried to pat his hair down. He just laughed a bit.] I need to get it cut again soon... or remember to tie it back more.

[ He sat the book aside, giving her his full attention.] Want to talk about them? Bad dreams are kind of my forte. [ Venus purred a bit, as if to agree. She's so used to waking fitful humans.]

Well. They're not mine, exactly. So I'm not sure how much I should talk about them.

[charismapotion]

You don't have to, only if your comfortable with it. Though now I'm curious, you dream other peoples dreams?

[moonheart]

You know how I said I'm descended from a goddess?

[charismapotion]

Yeah, kind of hard to forget that. [ He spoke smiling just a bit.]

[moonheart]

Two goddesses. And one of those is Sehanine Moonbow, the elven goddess of dreams.

[charismapotion]

[ Mars nodded a bit. He looked a little confused mostly because he was.]

[moonheart]

Well, I inherited a special gift from her, I suppose you could say. They call it dreamwalking.

[charismapotion]

That sounds like it could be both awesome and terrible at the same time. I'm guessing you end up in a lot of bad dreams.

[moonheart]

Yeah, I don't really have a handle on it all the time yet. I can choose where I'm going when I'm awake, but sometimes when I'm asleep I just... drift.

[charismapotion]

Considering how some of us are here, that sounds like it could be dangerous.

[ A note of worry in his tone.]

[moonheart]

Maybe. But I don't know how else I'm supposed to figure it out.

[charismapotion]

Do you have anyway of coming out of it if things go downhill?

[ He understood the need to learn, he was just concerned.]

[moonheart]

Nope. Just gotta ride it out.
