It's serious. I like stability, I'd like for both of us to have it. And Abigail and Cora and Stiles and the dogs and whatever wayward youth or dog you adopt next.

[he snorts] I'm only Abigail's legal guardian. Not that there's anything legally binding us together on this side of the veil in the first place.

Fair enough. Well, I hadn't planned on anyone besides Abigail. If she wants to bring one of her friends, that's up to her.

So at least one child who isn't actually a child anymore and about thirty dogs.

I'm sure there is an accountant in the Hoard who can direct me to a reputable bank for... pretty much everything. My dad has a lawyer friend who can draw up wills and directives once I sort the money stuff out.

There was a box of puppies outside a convenience store. He was the last one left.

Oh my god, Will, you're like an addict. [ a beat. ] Not that I wouldn't have done the same thing.

I couldn't just leave him. He was probably the runt. He could've died.
