watcherjunior: (totally up to no good.)

[ She snaps her fingers. ] Languages! And handling a gun. But I'm fairly sure I didn't do that until I was older anyway.

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-16 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
They tried to train me with a gun when I joined the police department as a CSI.

[He cringes slightly.]

Let's just say it did not go well.
watcherjunior: (nuh uh no way.)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-16 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
That look says there's a story there. And you never know. It could go a lot better this time. I've learned to never go around on a mission without mine, because anything can happen.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-17 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods in agreement but ...]

I'm not really a gun guy. But I did learn how to throw a pretty decent punch, and now that I'm faster, that can hit ... really hard.
watcherjunior: (socially awkward but friendly.)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-17 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
Hit really hard? [ It takes a moment to click. ] Oh! Sorta like hitting someone with a car. On the more crude and violent scale.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-17 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods in agreement.]

Yeah. The faster I go, the harder I hit.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-17 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. You could actually kill someone like that.

[ Way to ruin the mood, Dawn. ]

So, are you actually faster than a speeding bullet? I heard something like that in a movie.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-20 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it depends on a lot of factors. But a one-on-one match for distance between me and a bullet? I think I could come out on top.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-20 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Could? So you haven't really tested that yet, either?

[ Uh oh. She's getting ideas, Barry. ]
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-20 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's not sure if he likes these ideas.]

Not really? I mean, I've done it with arrows, but none of my friends are all that fond of shooting guns for science.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-21 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
[ Pffft. You'll be fine, Barry. ]

Yeah, but arrows are like, only about a third as fast as bullets, on average. Of course, that's not accounting for someone having a-an enchanted bow or anything.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-22 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
He definitely did not have an enchanted bow.

[He gives a small shrug.]

I've managed to push people out of the way of bullets without getting shot? And I did outrun a nuclear explosion once.

[Sort of.]
watcherjunior: (nuh uh no way.)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-22 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh. Okay. Well, we will just go ahead and dub you "faster than a speeding bullet" because that's probably close enough.

[ She leans forward. ]

Why did you have to outrun a nuclear explosion?
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-23 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Because I'm pretty sure nuclear radiation could still kill me and the very human companion I was with.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-24 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Here, Barry, have a look of you're cute but duh. ] Well, yeah, I would imagine so. But, like, what caused the explosion? Bomb, a meltdown, some other craziness?
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-03-28 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
... Actually it was a person. A pair of people actually. It's ... a really long story, and I'm not even sure I could explain it properly.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-03-29 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. Exploding people. Exploding people. Okay, I haven't encountered that before. [ And there's a small realization that she shouldn't maybe sound so fascinated. ] Not that that's a good thing. Bad. Very bad.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-04-01 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's a .... really long story with way more science than I actually understand but somehow they got merged during the same event that gave me my powers and together they can create nuclear fission.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-04-07 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
They merg-- wow. Wow. [ Okay, Dawn's brain may be overloaded on the science stuff, as fascinating as she finds it. ] Okay, your home? Pretty sure it's a lot cooler than mine.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-04-08 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
[He laughs.]

Maybe. But I'm sure your world is pretty cool all the same.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-04-11 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
To be honest? [ As if she's been anything but that while talking to him. ] I don't remember home. Not anything specific. I guess I'm at least lucky that I remembered my own name, cause some people don't even get that when they come through the Veil.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-04-12 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
[He winces at that.]

That must suck, though. Not knowing anything about your life?
watcherjunior: (standing still.)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-04-12 02:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It's-- [ She could deflect. But she won't. ] Yeah, it sucks. But there's no point really in wallowing in misery about it. That doesn't bring back any memories.
supertardiness: (Default)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-04-14 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[He nods in agreement.]

Very true. I haven't figured out if I've forgotten anything yet, so I guess I'll just figure it out when I get there.
watcherjunior: (Default)

[personal profile] watcherjunior 2016-04-15 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you've sorta forgotten you forgot, so. Hopefully, it's just something minor, like you forgot you hate, I don't know, fish sticks. Just nothing that will, like, kill you.
