[  Jaina Solo has been searching for more information about the Jedi Order and the Force for years now, certain that she and her family can't be the only ones who fell through from a galaxy far, far away.  It would seem that her search has finally paid off:  a Jedi Master may have been recently seen in Malaysia, taking a boat to the island of Luzon, where she was discovered dead on the slopes of a volcano.

With the fallen Jedi's lightsaber in hand, Jaina has asked her friends and family to help her investigate, and try to recover the lost item that the Jedi was carrying on her person - one that was not left with the body.    They've decided to head to the port first, to see what rumors may be left in her wake.  The beautiful Malaysia port of Kudat looks out over inviting blue waters, a number of ships lined up here of all shapes and sizes.  ]

[Miles chuckles and walks over to his squire, throwing his arm around his shoulders.]

I'll take you on a boat ride when we get back, alright? And you can totally drive then. But I'm thinking sea legs are a little different than space legs.

After the mission, we can all take turns doing loop de loops or whatever, all right? For now, let's get going. [And he strikes off towards the dock.] Kids.

[BB-8 looks up at Poe, whistling a word of condolence before going off to follow Han beeping because WHAT IS A BOAT I NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!

Poe sighed and looked at Miles as they followed] All I need to do is look at the controls and I'm usually good to go. I don't remember a lot of things, but I remember that I'm a damn good pilot.

The best in the Resistance. I know. [ She rushes the words out as they move to board Han's new boat. ] But Han Solo made the kessel run in a freighter that was veritably limping along in just 12 parsecs. I think, given that he's the one with boating experience, he can get us to Luzon quickly. [ Which is really just polite dressing for 'this is about the mission, not ego.' Luckily, it seems well-settled. ] We can have him teach us on the way back, once we've found the Jedi-killer.

Where is this boat of yours, exactly?

[parsecs]

Someone did her research. [Han smirks as he listens to Rey singing his praises.] Suppose I could show you a few things.

[He goes through his pockets and pulls out a list of directions, handing them over to Jaina.]

Guy I won it from told me how to get there. So... this way.

[Navigate 4. It is not that way. Which isn't gonna stop Han from heading confidently in that direction like he 100% knows where he's going.]

[ Rey follows along like a puppy, earnestly hustling up at his side, but there's no disguising the hesitant look that begins to dawn as they travel ... away from the ships ... ]

[Poe is just going to watch them start to walk away... from the water. He looks at the group, then at BB-8. BB-8 just shook his droid head. Thank the Force someone rolled a nav 21.]

You do know that the water is this way, right? Unless your boat does not need the water...

Did he give you the name of the port, Dad? [ maybe calling him dad will lighten the blow. he likes that. ]

....I know where the damn water is. [Awww, Jaina called him dad, he can't be mad.]

Yeah, it's [Port name]. Got a better idea of how to get there?

I saw that one while I was asking around. It's this way. [ She points ... back the way they'd come (navigate 23). ]

[ EVENTUALLY THEY GET TO THE FUCKING BOAT, it's a nice size actually, good job han ] All aboard.

[ climbs aboard and charges to the front so she can peer out over the water and let the wind blow on her face and slkgjrdrklgj ]

[ jaina stays near miles but kind of watches rey with interest. she's so excited... ]

[Miles is watching Rey with lifted eyebrows too, his expression amused.]

Hopefully no one gets sea sick.

[Poe went and found himself a seat, putting his feet up on the rail] Don't jinx it. But just in case, BeeBee-Ate, latch yourself onto something. No need for you to go rolling about.

[BB-8 had rolled up to Rey to look over the side with a curious whistle, and then made a sad noise do I really? I will be fine!]

[Han sidles up to the wheel and slides behind it. It's not the sort of ship he's used to. But he still gets the same feeling of rightness he always does behind the wheel.]

All right, kids. Where the hell are we going?

[forcevisions]

Luzon. [ Rey points over towards it, pushing flyaway hairs back from her face as she turns to peer back at Han from the bow, shouting over the roar of the engine and the crash of the water under the boat. ] That one!

[parsecs]

[With Han's pilot check of 28, it's.... okay it's not a smooth ride cause that was never his goal, but he's going fast. He's pretty sure a boat full of pilots won't mind.]

[ jaina sure doesn't. she does eventually ask rey: ] Have you ever been on a boat before?

[forcevisions]

Never. [ She turns, tempering her grin as she looks to Jaina. ] I took a plane from Andres to London. [ she holds her hands out, and everything on her face says U CAN FEEL THE WATER!!! THERE IS !!! MISTY WATER !!! SPLASHING UP AT ME !!! ]

A plane might be almost boring if you're used to space.

[So he can see why a boat might actually be more exciting?? Though if they have spaceships they should probably have boats. /confused]

That so? Alex was talking about showing me how to fly on of them planes, but if it's going to be boring...

[well, he may just have to spice that lesson up. Just saying]

They're a little disappointing. [ She admits it with a crinkle of her nose, turning fully to look back at Poe. ] Limited maneuverability and altitude, low speeds. But Myrilandel gave me this incredible book with all sorts of different models in it, and I think if we could just get our hands on an acrobatic plane, it'd have more to it. [ She sighs. ] Or get that X-wing of yours repaired.
