Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already somehow.

No offense, Wynn, but you want us to talk with Carmilla and this is the group you've assembled?

[ it really should be no offense to everyone else but gus doesn't actually care about offending everyone else. which might be part of the reason he's so judgmental of the group, he's only tactful when he needs to be. ]

[With a Nat 20 Will Save, Rose merely lifts her gaze to stare, blank-faced at Gus for a long moment.

Elijah's words however drag her attention towards him and there's a slight nod, as if of approval from the Dhampir before she allows some of the tension she's been carrying to release from her shoulders.]

Indeed, Sir Mikaelson. As for the rest, [ he looks to gus, and then slowly across the others, his expression gravely serious ] I've lost enough Knights to this mission and we have no way of predicting how the Elders will respond to being approached.

I need Knights who can hold their own against these vampires, should they prove hostile. [ his gaze travels past dean and rose, and back towards ashley and gus ] And Knights who know Sir Magnus well enough to recognize any pertinent information you may receive.

[Rose's face remains a carefully composed mask as Wynn speaks. Only dragging her gaze away to spare a brief look in Dean's direction before addressing Wynn directly.]

How soon can we leave?

With a few days. [ he glances around once more before he states simply: ] Sir Hathaway. I would like you to take the lead on this mission.

I'd like to formally state my disquiet.

Sending one inexperienced squire to act as the diplomatic lead on a mission you're framing as a parley is beyond dangerous. I can understand your reticence in sending anyone else considering what happened to Max and Sir Dragomir last time and considering Helen's... departure. But you framed it as a parley, an address, a fact-finding mission, and you assembled a group of people not well known for their impulse control, a literal strike force. This is the line of hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst and I want that known before we go that I don't agree with this. [ which isn't to say he isn't going because he knows they need a damn cleric, or enough of an approximation to one without the natural inclination to turn undead on the spot which gus is with his divine magic, but wynn has never asked him to follow blindly so he's not about to do so now. nor does he mean it with any disrespect, frankly, which is beyond clear in his tone.. it's not like his concerns aren't entirely valid. (diplomacy nat 20 ahaha) sending in this team will all but promise violence. ]

Your concerns are noted, Sir Harrison. [ but there is nothing in his tone or demeanor to suggest that anything about it is going to change his mind. ] If you would prefer someone sent in your place, say so now.

I have complete confidence in the team, as they have been assembled, and your own approach to situations is an important addition to that. But I am more concerned that you are not driven to do something with which you disagree.

[Rose's stone-faced look is back again. Jaw tensing as Wynn speaks before being only too happy to add;]

I'm sure that with Dean being squired to Helen and her considering me a second daughter? We'd be more than capable of picking up on any clues, along with Ashley.

[ i have no idea how dean made that boss will save but he... bites his tongue, leans back in his chair, and lets what rose said be enough for him. so far. ]

[ gus holds wynn's gaze for a long moment, entirely ignoring rose because he also knows helen and he knows that his hypocritical best friend would want gus there to look after ashley, knowing full well that she can handle herself, which is why gus doesn't say that. ]

I don't disagree with the mission, [ he finally answers, not looking like he's intending to move from his seat. and he doesn't. he disagrees with how it was presented. ] But the rest of the team might disagree with me.

And that is why I consider it wise for you to be a member of this team. The circumstances are grave enough that I expect you all to refrain from descending into petty argument. I need the variety of perspectives at this table, and that is why each of you are here.

It is important to note that Sir Hathaway has valuable intelligence about the murders - her connection to Sir Dragomir allowed her to witness it through her eyes. [ he looks down for a moment, letting that sink in ] She should be able to recognize who is behind this. There will be no need to point fingers blindly.

[Rose remains silent as Wynn speaks, once again staring at that scorch mark on the round table and when it comes time for her to offer an opinion? Her tone speaks to the seriousness of the situation.]

This is a dangerous mission. What happened to Lissa and Max is proof of that and it won't help anyone if the members of this team are going to have the worst thought of them at every turn. Especially when we don't know the first thing about each other. [Her lips press into a thin line, Rose adding;] And that goes for everyone here.

I don't care who comes and who doesn't. I know Wynn put this team together for a reason and I'll happily put my life in the hands of everyone in this room because of that. If anyone, doesn't feel they can do the same? Then I'd rather they say so now because we can't afford to find that out when we're out in the field.

[Elijah has honestly been silent because he sees no need to defend himself, but there comes a point where he should probably speak up.]

If Sir Harrison has an issue with my inexperience, then allow me to assuage some of his fears? He has a point that as a Squire, I have little experience but unless you want Niklaus on this mission with you, there's likely few people with as much experience with vampires as I have.

[His tone remains cool, (diplomacy 27) because he has no interest in sparking another argument.]

But I would caution against entering their nest without an Original Vampire at your side if one is willing and able to help.

[Ashley looks around the room, and since most people are throwing their voice into the ring, she figures she might as well too.]

I had to make deals with Abnormals for information all the time. It's not the same, I know, I get it, but I'm not going to just fly off the handle. My Mom made sure of that a long time ago, not to mention how to follow orders when it comes down to something this serious.

[Bailing on curfew once in awhile was not the same thing, okay.]

I just want to get this done and bring my Mom home.

As I said. I have faith in each member of this team to do what is required of them. [ and that is that ]

[Rose merely shakes her head, no questions and nothing more to add.]

One last thing. In the interim, Sir Winchester will be given his promotion ceremony... if he chooses to accept it.
