The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Oh good. I hear food that bites isn't very tasty. Hard to concentrate when you're bleeding.

So is that your cue to me that you owe me an explanation later? Or are you offering to take me away from the party?

[ oh good. less awkward all around. ]

Good. I don't know that I'm done with the party yet.

[ which is her way of saying she would much prefer to have friends than... romance right now. ]

You'll have to owe me that explanation at least past this. But I'll collect.

Anything else I should know about living here? Any parties I should absolutely attend? Any I should avoid?

You might be asking the wrong person. I don't actually go here.

[ hawke raises an eyebrow. ] Ah, you got dragged here. I guess it's true of all parties.

[ if this guy turns out to be a mage-hating murderer, she's going to be very displeased. ]

I'll have to find someone who does go here. And then I'll be back to collect on that cooking lesson.

[ for now, though, she's getting pretty partied out and a lot of that has to do with the fact that she is just waiting for something to go wrong. ]

Meanwhile, the only thing cooking in my life is wondering what mischief my dog is cooking up next. And on that note, I should go check on him.
