Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there. Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.

[ well, that was not a warm greeting at all. jack steels himself to keep that british politeness intact before replying. ] Naturally. Although, I imagine you won't begrudge me addressing a standing question of my own first. To be precise, regarding Hellsing's presence in this debriefing.

[ under her breath, kat murmurs: ] Good fucking question.

[With all the shit that Rose has seen and done, there's very little that she can encounter that to her is so unsettling, it visibly shakes her, and yet the sight of an impossibly tall, dark-haired, red-eyed Vampire... (this is fine).

Coming to an abrupt halt at the back of the group, Rose's whole body tenses beside Dean's and her hand shifts to brush against the silver stake at her side, more for reassurance than readiness to attack (WS 32)... for now.]

[ Buffy turns her head towards Rose as they enter. ]

[ If anyone's word can be counted on in that, it's the Slayer, right? As much as that means. She grabs the back of a chair and seats herself opposite Integra. There's no reason they can't be civilized. ]

Sir Integra. Long time no see.

Sir Summers. [ if anything, she sounds vaguely amused, and alucard's wolfish grin widens. it's also integra who addresses jack's question first ]

Hellsing is here at the request of the Knighthood. By all appearances, things have spiraled beyond your capacities and your specialties. A supernatural threat now endangers perhaps the entire world, and the Queen herself agrees that we cannot put trust in the American government to address this problem properly before it affects our shores.

Beyond our capacities? [ kat sputters, offended ] You have no idea what we've dealing with out there! We--

Sir Samcelot, control your tongue, or you will not be a part of this meeting. Hellsing has been invited here as our guests, and they have been willing to work with us, despite a history of tension between our organizations. We will extend to them every courtesy. Is that clear?

[ half under her breath: ] Who died and made you Wynn, exactly?

Kat. [ the lack of title out of jack seems to draw her attention, and she folds her arms, slumping down into a seat near buffy, but shutting up for the moment. she just throws hasmed a glare, and fred moves beside her, looking nervous about her potential outbursts. ] Thank you.

[ jack begins to pace around the room slowly, gar following him as he moves to sit by christos, keeping a wary eye on alucard ] This is all highly... unconventional, but these times are nothing but. It's important that we're all on the same page.

[ here is a flockdraw for the seating chart! buffy couldn't sit 'opposite' integra b/c that's where hasmed & solace are so i put her at least in a good position to see her. ]

[Spike looks towards the other vampire and snarls, fangs coming out before he can stop himself (WS 9).] Feel like we ought to have gotten on the same page before calling in outside help, but whatever.

[He slinks over and hurls himself into the chair next to Gar, slumping in it as obnoxiously as he can.]

[ It's hard not to be on the defensive with that context, but honestly, Buffy has Fucking Had It with today and to that extent, the fight has drained out of her. She just wants to get it over with. ]

What exactly is it you think you can contribute?

Hellsing is a paramilitary organization whose entire purpose is to combat supernatural forces not of this Earth. The release or ascension of an evil divine being certainly falls under such an umbrella. Our soldiers are trained to combat these threats, specialized in them.

The Knighthood's more vigilante approach, using a loosely organized collection of agents as it does, whose skill sets may or may not apply, and which may or may not be trained, certainly not to any set standard, makes them ill-suited to counter such a situation without our assistance.

Your section heads have recognized this. While Wynnefalshond's arrogance may have previously prevented him from bowing to our authority in this case, I'm pleased to learn that not all of his men feel the same.

We can offer our considerable resources, as well as Hellsing's militia.

[ wow christos is sure making a stinkface over here. he glances at jack, as if to read his response to all that, pressing his own lips tightly together ]

[ idk solace looks pleased as punch tho, we're all getting along so well ] Sir Integra is correct. Our circumstances being as extreme as they are, we cannot afford to turn away aid, nor can we afford to hold on to old grudges.

[ alucard releases a deep chuckle, fixing his gaze on spike as he says: ] How forward-thinking of you.

Let's get to the point of this meeting. Hearing an account of what occurred from those who were present.

[So her will save was good enough to not punch Solace or Hasmed in the face but the look on hers right now is one of such loathing that nobody here is under any misconceptions about how much she wants to do that right now.

Also that moment when Rose would rather sit closer to Alucard and Integra than the aforementioned 'dead to her' section heads.

I got nothing to say until Jack says we can... Seeing as Wynn trusted him to run the show if he wasn't around.

[ annnd in rushes tia, who stops short a bit when she sees the room full, eyes resting on alucard for a long moment before she moves to awkwardly take a seat between koraith and fred ] I'm sorry I'm late. [ her eyes flick across the other section heads, trying to get a read on the room ]

[ dovan pipes up, as if trying to reassure her, and clearly uncomfortable about a lot of this ] You're alright, dear, we were just getting started, really. As Hathaway says, our Dragon's Claw was just about to explain what happened. [ the way he glances at hasmed and solace makes it clear it's a little dig ]

You have permission to speak, Sir Hathaway, as do the rest of you. [ he glances at integra ] Under the assumption that what is spoken here will remain confidential.

[ integra gives a small, short nod and he continues ] Draken Crombe "invited" us to a concert in Los Angeles - the invitation was in fact, an act of coercion, as they are holding an ally of ours captive and were holding one of our own at the time.

Despite knowing that it was of course, some form of trap, we thought it was our best chance to get close to them, and Wynn advised that we follow their directions to the letter and go.

[ a spot check of 18+ catches the Look that solace and hasmed share at that, but more notably, the uncomfortable way koraith's brow furrows, and christos' lip turns down ] He convinced me that this was the best course of action. Before we departed, however, Wynn arrived with Elena Gilbert and Desmond Descant, who informed us that they had become... agents of Hell itself, right under our noses. Despite this, Wynn believed that they had valuable information about how to defeat the Mind Master, and gave us the chance to decide whether to allow them to accompany us or not. They argued that they had an investment in killing her, and that it would not benefit Hell for these villain's plans to come to fruition. It seemed that we had little choice, given the revelation that the Mind Master was, in fact, some form of demon. As such, we agreed to let them come along.

[Permission slip from their Stepdad or no, Rose is saying nothing cause fuck you guys tbh. (Spot 32 + Will Save 30). She and her resting bitch-face are going to be over here with her arms folded across her chest, judging those of you she thinks deserves it.

We met up with Vi, Mark, and Alainn at the concert. When we were brought to a VIP room by Crombe and the Mind Master's cronies, they took Vi hostage. Insurance. As far as we can tell, they still have her.

[ It seems important to just move things along rather than get hung up in how much hurt she's still feeling regarding Jack's summation of the situation with Des and Elena. It's too ugly to look at for long, the wound too fresh. ]

[ buffy rushing forward was ALMOST enough to get dean to shut up.
