Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.

[Returning to the castle is a bit disorienting. Even though she visited every now and again, the fact that she actually has time to really look at things and see the changes that came after the castle attack. There's a newness to it that you wouldn't expect in a place so old, but still familiarity all the same.

She mostly wanders to the Light Wing in and other living areas looking for familiar faces before wandering back to Bea again, but even if you haven't already met she is more than willing to introduce herself.

Rosario likes people. And it seems like she's going to be stuck with these people for a while, so might as well make friends.]

[Rosario isn't exactly sure what she's committing to at the moment.

Signing up for a war goes against everything she's already committed herself too, but leaving Bea goes against everything she is. Not at least offering her skill with healing goes against everything she's wanted to be so she plants herself in the Light Wing after talking it through with Bea, going over inventories and making sure that there are enough healers on hand.

And mostly staying out of Hellsing's way. She's heard that they're not so great with magic.

[it's after everyone is recalled and faces start to show back up in the castle that Baal catches Rosario going around a corner. He smiles and goes to catch up with her, and then smiles.]

I was wondering when it would be that I would finally see you again.

[nonconfrontational]

[The familiarity of the voice is enough to catch her off guard for a moment because as much as she knew who it was, she didn't expect to hear it here of all places.

She spins around and blinks before her arms go up with a surprised smile.]

Hey! You're alive!

[She is A+ at greetings.]

[he laughs at that, a big, bright grin on his face]

I am, and not even injured this time. How are you?

I'm good!

[She makes her way closer to pull him into a warm hug, because that's what you do when you find out people are alive again.]

I was better before I found out the world was ending, but still good!

[and he will hug her back warmly]

I think we all were better before that horrible event, my dear.

Fair point.

[She pulls back after a moment with a small smile.]

Look at you, though, getting all knightly.

I know, it was a surprise to me as well. Not a place a pirate believes they would be welcomed to.

Wynn's pretty good at seeing the best in people. I'm not surprised he managed to find the heart of gold under the pirate-y exterior.

[Wynn saw that potential in her once, and maybe she didn't become the knight he thought she would, but she's been doing good elsewhere in ways she hopes would make him just as proud.]

[Helen knows that Rosario is back, since she's already run into Bea, but she hasn't had the time to seek her out until after the announcement goes out. She's no stranger to the Light wing, since she likes to lend a hand from time to time, make sure she keeps her medical skills in top shape.

When she enters the Light wing this afternoon, she can't help but smile at the familiar face.]

Don't you look right at home. It's like you never left.

Helen!

[And then potions are immediately abandoned for hugs, because if there's anything Rosario is good for, it's hugs. So many hugs. It's also been a long time since she's seen her mentor. Even if she didn't choose to move forward in the Knighthood, her relationship with Helen has always been important to her.]

There you are.

[She accepts the hug and returns it warmly. Maybe she just needs to focus on the friends she still has that haven't lived here lately. They still seem to like her.]

Right where I've always been. [Well, that's not true. You took that leave in France for a bit...] How are you, dear?

I've been great. I mean, the world seems like it's about to implode, but me and Bea are good, and I've been doing a lot of good work.

[And that's something that's always been important to her.]

How about you? It's been so long since we talked.

[daredtobelieve]

[Boy that's a loaded question these days.]

Saying that a lot has happened is putting it lightly. I'm glad to hear that the two of you have been doing so well.

I think it's really hard for us not to do well, honestly.

[She's not saying that to brag, but more a commentary on even when they fight, they're not ... actually fighting.]

[Helen is a smidge jealous but mostly relieved to hear that.]

You'll have to catch me up. What have you been up to?

The usual.

[She gives a small shrug.]

Tagging along with Bea as she travels. Playing cleric when needed. I've even been working in a few Shadowkind refugee camps.

Need any help? [ a quiet voice pipes up behind her as she's working on those inventories. ]

[nonconfrontational]

[Rosario glances back over her shoulder with a smile, before nodding and making room.]

Yeah, sure. I was just doing an inventory.

[layonhands]

Not a bad idea. We're going to need to see what needs to get refilled... and keep track of our stores now that we've tripled the number in the castle.

[nonconfrontational]

[Her eyebrows raise at that.]

You worried about Hellsing getting sticky fingers?

[layonhands]

Not necessarily, but they aren't familiar with our tracking methods.

[nonconfrontational]

No, that's true.

[She moves to the next shelf to give Risa some room to work.]

Do you think we should stalk up on some of the larger healing potions, before things get crazy?

[layonhands]

We've already begun. It's something that we work on between missions, but we can only do them so quickly.

[nonconfrontational]

[She nods.]

Well, consider me an extra set of hands. I usually only work in healing spells anyway, so I usually have a lot of those prepared.
