Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there. Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.

[Helen knows that Rosario is back, since she's already run into Bea, but she hasn't had the time to seek her out until after the announcement goes out. She's no stranger to the Light wing, since she likes to lend a hand from time to time, make sure she keeps her medical skills in top shape.

When she enters the Light wing this afternoon, she can't help but smile at the familiar face.]

Don't you look right at home. It's like you never left.

[And then potions are immediately abandoned for hugs, because if there's anything Rosario is good for, it's hugs. So many hugs. It's also been a long time since she's seen her mentor. Even if she didn't choose to move forward in the Knighthood, her relationship with Helen has always been important to her.]

There you are.

[She accepts the hug and returns it warmly. Maybe she just needs to focus on the friends she still has that haven't lived here lately. They still seem to like her.]

Right where I've always been. [Well, that's not true. You took that leave in France for a bit...] How are you, dear?

I've been great. I mean, the world seems like it's about to implode, but me and Bea are good, and I've been doing a lot of good work.

[And that's something that's always been important to her.]

How about you? It's been so long since we talked.

[Boy that's a loaded question these days.]

Saying that a lot has happened is putting it lightly. I'm glad to hear that the two of you have been doing so well.

I think it's really hard for us not to do well, honestly.

[She's not saying that to brag, but more a commentary on even when they fight, they're not ... actually fighting.]

[Helen is a smidge jealous but mostly relieved to hear that.]

You'll have to catch me up. What have you been up to?

The usual.

[She gives a small shrug.]

Tagging along with Bea as she travels. Playing cleric when needed. I've even been working in a few Shadowkind refugee camps.

I imagine you've developed a fair bit more of a healing touch since I last saw you. I still have to do things the old fashioned way, of course.

There's nothing wrong with that.

[She smirks softly.]

Not everyone likes the magic touch.

That's true. And we do need to give those like you a chance to rest up. Magic isn't endless in its reach. I prefer to think of your medicine and mine as two parts of the same machine, working together to achieve the same goal.

I like that.

[There's a small smile and nod as she considers it.]

And it's much better than those who try and turn their nose up at our ability to help.

There are plenty of those who fear that which they do not understand.

Fear is an unfortunate product of a dangerous world. I think we're all guilty of that at one time or another.

[Her, especially, when she was younger.]

Absolutely. It's human, after all. Or Elven, dwarvish, and so on. But I, for one, am thrilled to see you back within these walls- even if it's short lived and due to terrible circumstances.

Never let it be said that these things don't have a silver lining.

[She gives a bit of a smirk as she moves in for another hug.]

I have to finish up here, but I'll come find you in a bit?

Take your time, dear. I'll be around. [She gives Ro another squeeze before leaving her to her business.]
