Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[Spike isn't one to brood, obviously. He's just having a smoke, outside, alone, while scowling and staring into the distance. It's not brooding. It's entirely different.

He doesn't particularly want to see anyone, but he's unlikely to chase anyone away either. Especially if they come bearing booze. There's far too little around for him to be happy with.]

[Eventually he heads down to explore the village, both because he doesn't particularly want to be cooped up with a bunch of people he's on and off angry with and for more practical reasons: he's got to find some blood that isn't inside someone's body.

He also is hoping to find more booze and smokes, but the blood is the more urgent issue. Everything else can wait.]

[ the village is nestled down in a little valley area beneath the monastery, and seems very quiet as he approaches. there are a few people heavily layered in fur moving between the buildings, which all look pretty shitty tbh. the people he sees are carrying large amounts of wood to and fro. as he gets closer, he can make out that that the furs are only part of the bulk on the person's back - their skin is blue and those are giant leathery wings tucked in there as well. he's rocking a giant dragon-head too, so there's that. ]

[bigbad]

[Dang that sure is a giant dragon head and wings. Cool. Anyone that cool has to know where he can get a drink.]

OI, MATE! [He hurries towards the blue dragon person.]

[behindcloseddoors]

[ the half-dragon starts a bit, but holds tightly onto the wood, swiveling to study spike with caution in his bright reptile eyes. he speaks in english easily enough, his voice low but surprisingly well spoken ]

Are you speaking to me?

[bigbad]

Yeah. [He comes to a halt.] You look like a bloke who'd know where the strong stuff is. [A beat.] Uh, that is, if you are a bloke. Suppose I shouldn't assume.

[behindcloseddoors]

[ he squints a bit at spike, before looking up the mountain side ] Did you come from the sanctuary?

[bigbad]

Yeah, but I'm not there for rehab or anything like that. Just visiting.

[behindcloseddoors]

Didn't think they got many visitors.

[bigbad]

I'm not many people. [He rolls his eyes.] Look, you know where I can find something to drink or not?

[behindcloseddoors]

[ he nods to the last building on the row ] Something of a tavern.

[bigbad]

That's the ticket. [He starts over, then glances back at the dragon guy.] You can come along if you like.

[behindcloseddoors]

[ the guy looks at him, looks at the wood in his arms, and then says: ] How about I meet you there?

[bigbad]

Sure, mate. [Is the guy actually gonna meet Spike there or is he just blowing Spike off? Spike doesn't know and doesn't really care. There's booze in hiss future now.] Ask for Spike.

[behindcloseddoors]

Alright, Spike. [ with that, he heads back off to his work ]

[witchwoman]

[Myri has no booze for Spike, but she does find him outside. She's on her own- no toddler tugging at her hand at the moment. She's content to draw a picture or play with her cousin for the time being. Their group is basically made up of everyone that Myri trusts to keep her daughter safe, so she feels alright with taking a small break to get some fresh air.]

I'm glad you decided to come. [She just dives right in. She knows that she had been pretty matter of fact back in London, but it wasn't out of a desire to exclude him.]

[bigbad]

[Myri's one of the few people he isn't conflicted about, so she gets a smile from him. Even if there's no booze or toddler with her.]

Not sure if I'm glad or not yet myself. But if I can keep you and the bitty one safe, I suppose there's some value in it.

[witchwoman]

[She ducks her head and smiles.]

I'm glad we have you to look out for us. But I hope it isn't the only reason you came.

[bigbad]

I don't even bloody know anymore. [He takes a drag on his cigarette, staring out into the distance.] But what else am I gonna do, you know?

[witchwoman]

Brood? [She nudges him with her elbow.]

[bigbad]

[He rolls his eyes.] I'm not brooding. I'm thinking.

[witchwoman]

Fine. Tell me what you're thinking.

[bigbad]

[He shakes his head.]

Just that we're all buggered. No one's ever gonna stop with the lies.

[witchwoman]

[She reaches out and takes his hand.]

It doesn't matter. The more we learn, the more I see that. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't give us more or less of a chance in this fight. Elena and Des seem to be the only ones who have more resources than they're willing to part with, yet you seem the least cross with them.

If you need to hear it, I am happy to say it. You're right. Everyone should have be honest from the beginning. But that wouldn't change much. If anything, it would have caused us to run ages ago.

[bigbad]

[He shrugs a shoulder.] Their reasons make sense to me. I'm more than a bit concerned about Elena, though. Not sure that relationship's healthy.

[Not cause Lucifer's a devil, mind. He just raises a lot of red flags in a way Des' devil didn't.]

Being right's not what I care about. I just don't want to watch you all die.

[witchwoman]

I fear I've lost Elena completely. [She glances down, still heart broken about it.] But perhaps you can break her free from whatever spell she's under.
