Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[She was about to be forcibly benched, and she didn't want to explain her new face to the castle at large.]

And this is one instance where they actually will need my skill set of sneaking around. I just hope they'll actually be ready to stick with stealthy.

[Faith makes an amused sound.] You've been on missions, right? I mean, we all try to stick to stealth, but it doesn't always work out that way.

Not always, but sometimes it does. It just depends on how willing you are to commit to the cause. I've actually run some pretty successful stealth missions in my time with the knights.

[It depends on how well the rest of the team actually listens to her. But with that she'll poke her head in one of the doors and find an empty room.]

[She glances in and shrugs.]

It's got a door and four walls. Works for me.

[And she will make her way in to find a corner for her stuff.]

[Faith drops her stuff off and glances over, nodding.]

Yeah, that works.

[She sits down on the edge of the bed and flops back a bit, staring at the ceiling as she thinks this over.]

As much as I wanted us to slow down, I wasn't anticipating something this slow.

[The last forty eight hours have been weirdly disorienting.]

This actually feels kinda like normal for me, for once. I took a long break away from active duty and when I finally told Wynn I wanted to step back... turns out the universe opted to drag me back in.

[She smirks a bit at that.]

The universe is funny that way. It ... presents opportunities you wouldn't have otherwise considered. Forces you to look at things from a different perspective.

[The latter being her current predicament at the moment]

Yeah, this wasn't so much the universe as it was Buffy - but I get that thought.

That too.

[She doesn't know Buffy incredibly well, but she does see how she can be a force all her own to contend with.]

Have you guys known each other a while?

[Faith sighs, because that should be an easy question to answer, but it's a lot more difficult.]

We're from the same world and I knew her back there. Here... I'm trying to learn who she is here and it's hard. Harder than I figured it would be, at least.

[There's a bit of an ah face as she nods.]

Veil-induced amnesia and time can make things more than a little complicated on occasion. I'm sorry you have to start at square one again.

[Faith shrugs.]

It's probably one of those things where it's just not meant to be.

I mean, back home things started hella complicated and just got worse. Eventually, better... I think. Well, close to better.

Here it started off great and then everything crashed and burned. I think I thought it'd be easy, since it started off that way.

[She sighs, a slight frown.] Who knew making friends was going to be this hard.

Honestly? I think everybody has a hard time making friends.

[A pause.]
