krozna ♔ our wrongs remain unrectified
WHO || Failboat, Mikhail Kalachnik, ?? ?? [closed]
WHAT || The Ex-Knights of Failboat arrive at Krozna
WHERE || Krozna, Russia
WHEN || 2 days after LA
HOW || Actionspam or prose
Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.
This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.
But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

I'll live. I'm just ... broader than I used to be. Broader and shorter so it's made walking an adventure.
[She gives a small shrug as she gets the weight off her foot a bit, pulling it to her chest. She should probably take her shoe off and check it, but it's too cold.]
I'll get used to it, it's just going to take a little time. It just makes me feel super clumsy, and I feel bad for interrupting your meditation time.
no subject
[He motions to the seat across from him.]
You should get off that foot for a little bit, just in case. Want me to make sure you didn't do anything really bad to it? It's kind of my fault you messed it up, after all.
[He knows a little first aid.]
no subject
[She just wants to make that clear. But he's probably right because her toe is still throbbing, so she'll nod and go pull the injured leg up to her chest so she can start to pull off her shoe and sock to get a better look.]
I am the klutz, not you.
no subject
It looks okay, jammed at worst. Just tape it to the one next to it if it bothers you, but you didn't break it or anything.
no subject
[She gives him a small smile as she goes to put her sock and shoe back on because cold feet.]
So how are you doing with all of this?
no subject
It's a lot to take in, but I don't think I have it as bad as a lot of the people who came with us. I just wish there was something we could do now. I can't exactly do proper research here, let alone anything else.
no subject
Yeah, that's my thoughts too. While we're safe here, we can't do any recon and I worry that the longer we wait, the worse it's going to get.
[For LA and for Rafael, who Felicity is still hoping they'll be able to save.]
Have you dealt with gods and stuff before?
no subject
[One of his legs crosses over the other as he gets comfortable.]
Dean has a lot more experience in this world than I do. I came through the Veil, and he didn't. So there's a chance that he has, and even if he hasn't, we've dealt with demons at least.
no subject
[She gives a small shrug.]
But whatever this is is hurting Shadowkind, and there are a lot of people I care about who are that too, so if me being able to steal something or ... just being a face they haven't seen before is going to help, then I'm ready to help do it.
no subject
Might as well be us, right?
no subject
No, I agree. Sitting on the sidelines isn't really my thing anymore.
no subject
[He doesn't sound bitter about it for once. Just accepting.]
Tried to get out and got dragged right back in. Meant to be, I guess.
no subject
But she's not going to bring that up to Sam right now either. Not relevant as he's not really a kid anymore.]
Maybe. I'm still unsure on how I feel about fate most days, but sometimes you wind up where you need to be, even if it's not where you expected.
no subject
Talking about fate is like talking about what-ifs. We can't change the past and we can't tell the future, right? We just have to deal with right now.
I'm not here because it's fate. I'm here because this is what I'm good at and I don't want to live without my brother. It's as simple as that. I was just fooling myself when I tried to quit.
no subject
I just want to see things through. I'm not really a quitter.
[She didn't start this with the rest of the group, but she's in it now. For better or for worse.]
Did your brother and Rose ask you to be here or did you volunteer?
[It doesn't sound like a judgement, but maybe she has weird feelings about leaving Thoster and Gus behind in the castle.]
no subject
[He's all for seeing a case through once he starts it, though.]
They wanted me to come with them. I didn't even know anyone was even thinking about leaving until they asked me. It was kind of a no-brainer.
no subject
That's good. Not that it's your responsibility to be the bridge here, but if they trust you enough to have you here, and you speak Dean and Rose and are willing to help ... be reasonable, maybe we can get out of this without completely alienating everyone.
Not to say that I'm not going to try but ... Rose and I don't exactly have a history of seeing eye to eye.
no subject
I think where the problem lies is that from where they were standing, they're being pretty reasonable. We don't really know who we can trust and we know it's not the fault of anyone here. It's just what you get when Hell is involved.
[He grins a little at that.]
We're all gonna have to do some trying, I think.
no subject
[There's a beat as she takes a breath.]
But I think they also have to realize that they've had ... a while to get used to this. They knew before Wynn made Elena and Des tell us when we got on that plane - I don't know for how long, but long enough. And the rest of us have had three days. We may have sensed that something was up or been told and not completely understood ...
[Myri had been told, but Myri didn't really understand what Lucifer was and what it meant.]
... but with the full breadth of this, it's been three days. The way she just shut down with Spike when he was upset about a) being lied to on a lot of different fronts and b) this new information that may not mean the same thing to him that it does to them ... I don't know. A little empathy might earn them a little good will in this situation.
[She holds up her hands. Even though it's a criticism, she's not judgmental. She's just trying to get her point of view out there.]
But as I said - I don't know shit about Hell or any of that. I just know that Rose has had it out for Elena since Andres, and whatever those reasons are, good or bad, to someone from the outside, it seems like she's just taking that grudge to a level that isn't going to do us any good in terms of team cohesiveness.
no subject
[Which had been suggested really early in there and definitely shouldn't have been.]
I'm pretty sure Rose and Dean withholding info versus Elena and Des blatantly lying and actively betraying the entire knighthood isn't exactly the same thing. [He sighs.] I know as well as anyone that if Hell wants their way into this, they'll find a way. It doesn't mean we have to make it easier for them or that we're not willing if there's no other options.
[He doesn't sound angry as he says any of this, but he's pretty sure that everyone involved is on entirely different thought processes about basically everything. Something has to give on both ends, that much is obvious.]
no subject
[They are not the same thing, at least not to her. She knows that there's a difference, but at the same time, she doesn't see Rose and Dean actively sharing information. They're still holding everything back behind a paywall of trustworthiness that only they know the score to, and that isn't helping any of them prepare for this.]
Are they going to teach a Hell 101 class? Because now would be the time to do it.
no subject
[Which is the hard part when Rose and Dean are hesitant to talk sometimes, even if he gets why.]
I can ask them. Dean definitely knows more about it than I do.
no subject
I think that would really help. Thank you.
[She knows she's putting him in a tough spot.]
no subject
[Well, it probably won't be a problem to ask, right?
One can hope.]
no subject
Anyway. I think I'm going to go try and grab some sleep. Good luck with the research.
