Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[When Rose is on her way back to her room, Myri happens to be in the same hallway, which is good, because she's been meaning to check in on Rose anyway.]

You look like you've had quite the work out.

[Wiping the sweat from her forehead with the inside of her hoodie like the classy bitch that she is, the tension that appears to always carry in her shoulders, eases a little at the sight of Myri. A huff of near laughter spilling over.]

Had to just to stand the cold up there. [Cause that's totally the whole reason she hacked and slashed at invisible foes for God knows how long.]

You get settled in okay?

[She nods.] Finnick has helped us find our way around. [That awkward moment when your husband has been living in this place for like a year.]

I still feel... restless. But I don't know if that has anything to do with this place.

[Traveling out here had quelled the urge to move east for a time, but now she's been stationary for long enough to feel that tug again.]

Yeah, that must be... useful? [The creases in her eyes a telling sign that Rose, much like everyone else is kind of wondering, just how awk all that is.]

You haven't run into any problems? [ Enough of an edge to those words that suggests Rose will be only too happy to handle them if she has.

And by them she means people. Finnick included if need be. Sorry, Bro.

Rose nods slowly, perhaps understanding that restlessness better than most.]

I kind of thought he'd be here you know... Wynn? Your, vision thing. When we got off that plane I really thought he'd just be here, waiting for us like he knew all along this is what we'd do.

[She shakes her head at the question of problems. So far, it's been pretty awkward but pretty calm. But she appreciates that Rose has her back, like always.]

Why would Wynn be who the Stargods are leading me to? [She's genuinely perplexed by this.]

Wishful thinking. [Rose struggling to mask the dejection in her voice as she realised that's probably all it was.]

You said he was there, in your dream and then the Stargods told you to go east. To find him... I thought maybe? Ya know?

[Elena was also in that dream but Myri knows better than to say that.]

Before, they lead me to a family. I am hoping that now they will lead me to someone or something that can help keep my family safe. It wouldn't make sense for it to be Wynn.

[ Rose looks more than a little taken aback by that, the idea that Wynn of all people wouldn't be able to keep them safe. He was the one who had potentially sacrificed himself to allow them all to get away. More than that sh's surprised to hear those words come out of Myri's mouth. anyone else... maybe but Myri.]

And you really don't think that someone could be Wynn? [More trying to understand than judging.] The only way to keep anyone safe is to beat Blade and the only one of us that has faced him and possibly lived to tell the tale, is Wynn.

[Well... and technically her and Archer but that really doesn't count.]

Maybe he knows something that we need... or maybe we just need his leadership now more than ever.

[ And again, maybe Rose was just desperate to cling to a possibility that gave her a semblance of hope where Wynn was concerned.]

The family they led you to... do you mean, The Knights?

You mean the man who sent us out on terrible tasks when he could have stopped so many evils himself? He kept his true nature hidden from everyone for so long. You've been angrier about that very thing than any of us. I would think you of all people would be angrier still at him for holding back all that help for all this time.

[She doesn't sound angry, really. It's all very matter of fact. Her memories are foggy around the edges, but she remembers enough about Wynn to see the hypocrisy.]

The Knights aren't my family, Rose. You are. This group. Everyone that came on that plane. You are the people that I would do anything for. No one else.

I've been angry because they were using us, all of us. I don't care about what Elena & Des have become. They made their choice, fine. But they took away our choices to decide if we wanted anything to do with that or not. They risked our lives so they could play some game that none of us ever asked to be a part of. But Wynn...

[ Emotion creeps into her voice now and it's clear that Wynn is more than just the Leader of the Knights to Rose. ]

Wynn is one of the only people who has ever really believed in me. Who has trusted me when others would have called me crazy. He is the first, and only person in my life to ever say that he was proud of me. And maybe you're right. Maybe he could have done more himself if he'd revealed what he truly was, but he has achieved so much more through the Knights than any one man, or Dragon could do alone.

Wynn, is as much my family as you are.

[It doesn't sound so different to Myri. Didn't Wynn take away the choice of all of his knights by not giving them the full picture of who they were working for? But she doesn't care about it enough to argue with Rose over it.]

If he is alive, I hope you can find him so that you can be reunited with him. [She's still Myri. She still cares about Rose's well being and her happiness.]

[There was still something so cold and detached about those words that Rose can't shake the wrongness of it all, her eyes darting from side to side, as if desperate to see where this is coming from.]

Did his not telling you that he was a Dragon, hurt you that much?

[Because Rose can't fathom the idea that Myri never cared for Wynn and she can't reconcile the words Myri is saying with the Myri that she knows. (Wis 19? iDK she rolled high I think Wis works).]

Do you... blame him for what Elena and Des did? For... not being able to stop it?

What? No, of course not. [She looks twice as confused.]

I only really knew him in passing, after all. [She remembers him, remembers his place with the Knights. She even remembers joining the Knights. But she doesn't remember why she did. And she doesn't feel any deep tie to the organization.]

[Welp. With a Nat 20 this time, Rose looks like she's been slapped in the face, not just suspecting that something is wrong but sure of it now.]

Myri! He married you and Finnick. [Her distress is such that Rose goes so far as to reach for her silver stake, not to harm Myri but simply to try and press the blunt handle of it to her skin.]

Well it was either him or Solace and-- hey. [She looks down where the silver stake is pressed against her.]

What are you doing?

Making sure you're still... you. [Relieved to see that this is still Myri and not another round of hell bullshit but equally concerned because if it's not that, then it's something else she doesn't know.]

Myri - [An edge of pleading in her voice now as she puts the stake back in its scabbard, reaching for her hands instead.] The Myri I know... cares about Wynn.

[Rose scans her features, trying to find some glimmer of... emotion. Something to tell her this is born of hurt and not something worse.]

The Myri I know, would be just as desperate to find him as I am.

[Worry does creep into her expression, but it's worry for Rose.]

I am the same Myri you've always known. [She gives Rose's hands a squeeze. She can only assume that Rose is projecting her Wynn feelings at her.]

I am sorry that you are hurting. Losing someone you care so much about is devestating.

[But she wasn't, not really. She looked and she sounded like the Myri Rose had always known but its like there was something missing now, some part of the person she used to be. What made it worse, was that the first person she would have gone to with this was Wynn, and he was gone too.]

Myri... [Frustration and worry dripping from her name.] Why doesn't it hurt you? You, who has always cared more than the rest of us put together...

[The questions are confusing, and the more she thinks about it, the more clouded her mind feels.]

I don't... I don't know what you want me to say, Rose. I'm sorry.

[ If Rose only knew what she wanted Myri to say, perhaps this would be easier but she just kept looking to her to be as desperate to bring Wynn back to them as she was.

And she just wasn't. ]

I don't - [But she has no answer, and a split second later, realises the obvious thing she should have registered right away. Myri was Myri... but wasn't, conveniently after the Mind Master had done something to her brain. (Wis 21).]

I don't know... I guess I'm just. [Bluff 33.] Wynn's gone and I hate doing nothing. I'm frustrated is all.

[Mama Myri knows you too well, Rose (sense motive 39). She shakes her head.]

You're worried about me, aren't you? Believe me-- I know how it feels. When you first came back to us, I kept thinking I was going to blink and lose you all over again. But I promise I'm alright.

Honestly... yes. [ More worried than she was willing to let on without knowing what was happening. ]

Then you know I'm going to keep worrying until I'm convinced I don't need to.

I know. [She's the last one to tell someone not to spend time worrying.]

Whatever you need me to do to help ease your mind? I'll do it. We have so much going on right now. I just don't want to add to the things weighing on your mind.

[Her lips press into a thin line, brow creasing as she tries to think of anything that could possibly help, when everything about this has her mind going at a hundred miles an hour.]

Just... [Struggling for an answer.] Promise me, if something feels... off? You won't try and handle it on your own.
