Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

Not like this, exactly. There's never been a god from the Shadow World fully manifested here in this one. The Veil keeps that from happening, but by opening that seal in this world, he found a workaround.

It makes him even more dangerous. The Shadow gods can't show up to directly stop him. In Faerun, they balance each other out, keep each other from doing something like taking over the damn world.

Here... there's just us to stop it.

[That's not the most optimistic things he's heard in the world, but they've been up against plenty. He knows Dean isn't going to just roll over and give up, and neither is he. In-fighting or not, some things just took precedence over everything else.

Save the world first. Deal with all the other shit if they're still alive.]

I guess we better stop it then, huh?

The dagger. We think it might be the key to how Keijen did this in the first place.

[His eyes light up just slightly.]

Well, if he managed to kill his father with it, it should probably be able to kill him too, right? [If they're on the same page.] What did it look like?

That's the thing. It looked like a simple iron dagger. I remember seeing it on the screen, so I might be able to describe it to somebody who can ... make a sketch or something.

It's hard to know if the dagger itself is important or if something special was just done to one to make it what he needed it to be. Like a ritual, maybe. Some kind of enchantment.

Maybe. Not sure how we'd find out.

[familybusiness]

If the guy ever talked about it while they were prepping all this, then maybe Dumage would know. She was with that crowd for a while as a double agent.

She's not here, so we can't just ask her, but Jack might know. I assume she debriefed with him too.

Is she somebody we can trust?

Debatable.

[After the things he's heard anyway.]

But if Blade ever sees her again, I'm pretty sure she's as good as dead, so we'd have that going for us.

Pretty much anything is worth checking at this point.

You got any ideas for anything else?

Not without a much bigger library or, you know, the internet.

Yeah, well there's one flaw in this killer plan.

You mean other than the fact that we're in the middle of nowhere?

That's literally cut off from everything on purpose.

And that's exactly why I don't have any other ideas. I've got nothing to go on, nowhere to start.

What I wish we had was a recording of that concert. That would be a good place to start.
