krozna ♔ our wrongs remain unrectified
WHO || Failboat, Mikhail Kalachnik, ?? ?? [closed]
WHAT || The Ex-Knights of Failboat arrive at Krozna
WHERE || Krozna, Russia
WHEN || 2 days after LA
HOW || Actionspam or prose
Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.
This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.
But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[He puts his hands up, assuring her that it's not a problem even as he sits down in the chair she gestures toward.]
I've already checked through most of the books here. I've just been trying to pass the time, so company is better, really.
[He peers at the book she has.]
Um, practicing?

She gives the book another glance before handing it to him with a smile. He can tell it's quite old and well used, and written in Latin, though that shouldn't give him any problems. It's full of spells, some quite old and out of date for the times, but the rest seem like they would still quite effective. ]
I've got some other books with me, if ye'd like to borrow them?

Sam is easily distracted by the notion of new books, though.]
Yeah? That would be great. [He folds his hands in his lap.] Catching up on all the stuff in this dimension has been a ride, let me tell you.

Is it much different than your own? How much do you remember from your world?
no subject
Almost everything, actually. There's a couple things that are fuzzy, but most of my memories seem intact.
[Go figure, he forgot the love of his life and most of the last few days before he came through.]
At first glance, it's really similar, but that's what makes it hard. All the different races work differently. So does the magic. I've basically had to relearn everything. [He grins and gives a shrug of his shoulders.] At least most of the languages are still the same.
[At least til he gets to Elven and such.]

Really, almost everything? That's incredible! [She has no memories of her past before the veil, not so much as a face or a name. Occasionally a sense of familiarity or a fuzzy dream will surface, but it's nothing more than glimpses and bits, feelings and deja-vu. Meeting someone who had most everything intact from before is so intriguing to her.]
What about the magic is so different? [of course it's the mention of the "M" word that really catches her attention.]
no subject
[Not that he'd encountered anyway.
Yet.]That said, there's probably things I just hadn't seen yet, but it was just a lot more limited as far as I could tell.
no subject
Yeah, I've heard all of those kinds of accusations and misconceptions before, even here, though it's mostly due to ignorance and fear. You're talking from a place of experience, it sounds like?

[He sighs.]
But yeah, we had plenty of run-ins with that kind of thing. I'd say we ran into more ghosts and evil spirits than anything else, though.

The quickest fix is finding where they were buried and burning their bones.
no subject
Oh! Oh, wow that is... not what I was expecting. I sort of figured it would entail like an exorcism or something along those lines. [She obviously has no clue how these things work, as it's not exactly her area of expertise.]
no subject
[He grins sideways.]
Which, again, isn't really how it works here. Demons aren't really possessing humans on this side of the Veil.
