Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

She shrugs though as if to say, okay.]

Right... [ Eyes narrowing a little. She noticed that in all of that, he didn't say he'd like to, but rather that he was going to. ] And, have you mentioned any of this to Dean?

Haven't really had time to yet. It's not super easy to talk to people privately.

[He might have...wanted to talk to Rose first. Guilty.]

Okay. [I mean, Rose is also sure he's not going to like it which is exactly why she's not liking this conversation.]

I... feel like. [Why this. Why her.] Maybe... Dean's not wrong to be worried?

[He nods slowly. That's...basically what he expected.]

I'm not saying he can't worry. And I'm not saying that you shouldn't keep an eye on me. I'll show you what I can do. You can help me make sure I don't take it too far.

[He sighs.]

But I can't keep avoiding it. I can't risk hurting people by pretending it doesn't exist. And I can't keep hating myself forever.

[Diplomacy...35. Holy shit, Sam.]

[ She definitely wavers, lines creasing her forehead as she rolls his words over in her head. She'd expected there would be an eventual pull between the brothers, she just hadn't banked on it being so soon. ]

Hate yourself? [Pulling at that particular thread.] I'm not worried about you Sam. What... you might do. I'm worried what Lucifer might do to you.

What if... Sam 1.0 becoming a Fiend, was never Lucifers plan? [Leaving it open for him to see where she was going with this.]

He doesn't control me. It's not even him, really. It's not like his blood is still in my veins or something, it just left its mark on its way out.

[Sam shakes his head.]

I get it, alright? I do. But there's no way he could have just known that I was gonna come through the Veil. That's not even his wheelhouse. [He sighs.] Besides, and don't take this the wrong way, but if he's gonna come at us through someone, it doesn't have to be me.

[After all he...brought you back to life, Rose. Dean made a deal with him. They're fucked no matter what if it comes down to the worst.]

I'm not some powerhouse psion. I can barely do more than a few fancy tricks, but I'd like to keep it that way. I don't want any surprises and that's exactly what doing nothing is gonna give me.

[Except that... there's actually no way to take that, that won't piss Rose off, Sam.]

And you know any of this, how, exactly? Literally, everything you know about this shit, you got from Glasya so excuse me if I don't put a whole lot of faith in that.

[Firmer this time.]

You need to talk to Dean.

I know this because I felt it. And the rest I got from plenty of other people with more experience in this psion stuff than either of us have. I mean, come on, there's a psion literally here and I bet you anything I have a pretty good idea as to why.

[He sighs.]

All I'm saying is that you-know-who got his way into all of us, one way or another. We can't run away from that, so I'd rather give him the middle finger by doing things my way instead of his.

[He nods at the last bit, though.]

Yeah. I know. And I will, okay?

I know you will. [A beat as he'd see her resolved face.] Because we're going to have this conversation sooner, rather than later.

[And then, as Rose turns to face Sam, she breaks out what is for her, the worlds most incredible Diplomacy check. (Diplo 25).]

We're not going to start over by keeping things from each other. Talk to him. Listen to him and... I'll try and make sure he listens to you, too.
