krozna ♔ our wrongs remain unrectified
WHO || Failboat, Mikhail Kalachnik, ?? ?? [closed]
WHAT || The Ex-Knights of Failboat arrive at Krozna
WHERE || Krozna, Russia
WHEN || 2 days after LA
HOW || Actionspam or prose
Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.
This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.
But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

What would ever give you that impression? [she nods, laughing again.] I guess I am, yeah. I've been trying to give everyone their space, but I'm so curious about all of them.

[She gives a small shrug.]
I just don't want to make anyone feel like we're harassing them.
no subject
So, what do you make of the whole 'Hell' situation? [way to ease into it, Alainn...]
no subject
It's ... above my pay grade. I've never really been that religious, so it's not like it's got those kinds of connotations for me. But I know it's definitely putting a lot of people on edge, and that may or may not end well.

It's interesting to me how much sway Christianity has here, and it's not that I don't understand it, and it's not the religion itself per say. It's the thought that the Christian "beings" [she makes air quotes at the phrase, at a loss for a better lable] have so much actual power here, on this plane. That they're so very invested in human matters, when all that I am used to is the very removed interest or disinterest, of the gods and goddesses that I worship, in particular.
Then again, what with the current situation in California and everything happening there... Who am I to say what's actually possible, or plausible, when it comes to deities and their minions?

[She shakes her head a bit as she leans back in her seat.]
But the whole mythology, choosing champions for great deeds thing - it's always just seemed like a huge cop out to me. They don't or can't get their own shit done, so they pass the buck to someone else and promises them they'll be rewarded for it.
no subject
But I don't know, you don't feel like it would be a great adventure to be sent on a mission from the gods, even if it were a cop out? I mean, imagine being singled out like that.
no subject
I guess it would depend. I've never really considered myself the hero type. When I joined the Knights it wasn't one hundred percent for the greater good.
no subject
So, what was it that brought you to the Knights?
no subject
[Her tone is joking because there's obviously more to it than that. She wasn't that impulsive, but it's the reason she's comfortable with giving to most people.]
It feels like such a long time ago though.
no subject
What on earth were you trying to steal?
no subject
[But she grins to indicate she's kidding, she's not that much of a magpie.
... Okay, that's a lie, but still, she's not completely stupid about it.]
At that point, I was just looking for a new challenge.
no subject
her own grin widens as the other woman smiles, eyes crinkling at the corners.]
And did the sparkly magic diamond give you enough of a challenge? Or was it more that you had competition for it?
no subject
[And going up against Val'drin was fun, to say the least.]
But in the end, it worked out. Switching to the Knights was a good move for me, and way more lucrative.

How do you reconcile being more inclined to independence with working for the Knights?
no subject
Working alone had it's benefits. I got to make all the calls, I didn't have to worry about other people screwing things up, or balancing everyone's egos. But the Knights were an avenue back to family for me.
[Even if she never wound up finding her bio family, like she originally intended, she rediscovered one she had chosen for herself, and found some new ones. It was a way of reminding her that not everything had to be about what she had lost, but more about what she had gained.]
At that time in my life, I really needed that. I figured I could handle the teamwork so long as I found what I was looking for.
no subject
Aye, I understand that, truly. So, have you found what you were looking for with the Knights? A family?
no subject
[She pauses before gesturing to herself with a small smile.]
One of them was the one who did this.

[When she sees him again, she's going to ask him to never do this again. It's too much for anyone to have to wrestle with.]
no subject
Thus the [she gestures to Felicity's whole new...everything] new everything. I cannot even begin to imagine what that must be like, love.
no subject
[And honestly she needs to talk about it, needs to normalize it somehow because otherwise she runs the risk of imploding in the field, which doesn't do anyone any good.]
I'm still not entirely sure I'm okay with it, but I also don't want to be dead.
[So in some ways, she has to learn to live with it, one way or another.]

What's been the weirdest part?
