krozna ♔ our wrongs remain unrectified
WHO || Failboat, Mikhail Kalachnik, ?? ?? [closed]
WHAT || The Ex-Knights of Failboat arrive at Krozna
WHERE || Krozna, Russia
WHEN || 2 days after LA
HOW || Actionspam or prose
Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.
This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.
But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...
Sam + Rose + Dean | After Tia's Arrival
Now it needed too, especially after his last chat with Rose was interrupted and with what they had in front of them now.
I assume they'll pile into Rose and Dean's room so they're sure to be alone. Sam waits until the door closes before he drags a hand through his hair, finding himself unable to sit down just yet.]
So, what are we thinking here?
>> Arden
I think... [ Rose breaking the silence, again that grim expression of hers fixing on Sam. ] That maybe you should consider what Dean suggested.
[ Okay, so it was more like an order than a suggestion but being the buffer between the brothers may require some creative interpretation and language, folks. ]
At the very least, hear him out.

[He knows full well it's probably stupid. But it also isn't the first time they've done something stupid in order to do the right thing.]
But I also don't want half our squad to get killed because we decided it was too dangerous to help save someone they care about. [They needed muscle. The three of them were some of the best muscle they had, Rose in particular.
And he didn't want Rose to go alone.]
I gotta know, though. If we're gonna do all this, try to save the world from a god, and we actually survive, what are the chances that I'm gonna stay hidden from these guys considering there's also some super scary demon involved? They've gotta have their eyes all over it, right?
>> Arden
What if your presence could be exactly what puts us in Iscariot's crosshairs? They're not going to stop long enough to listen to us explain that oh, him? He's not actually a minion from hell that was another guy.

Only way I would even think of letting you near them is if you got a face transplant.

[Illusions, magic, whatever. Someone's gotta have something like that one them, right?
Still, he got his own question as he looks at them, eyebrows lifted.]
What about you two? You planning on going? 'Cause you're not leaving me behind.
>>> Arden
Iscariot don’t even know who I am. [ As if that made it different somehow. ]

None of them are good at sitting on the sidelines, clearly.]
If, and only if, Alainn or Kat can magic together a good disguise for you. [Her attention mostly on Sam, but the way her gaze flickers to Dean at the end there, it's clear he's not the only Winchester she's worried about.]

And one that's gonna stick.

It was the right thing to do.]
Deal.
>> Arden
Iscariot aren't the only ones we need to worry about. [At this point the number of enemies they have seems to outnumber their friends, okay.] If there's even a hint of the Mind Master or Blade being there, you can't take them on. Not even if one of us is in danger.
[And her gaze slides to Dean at that, because if anyone would be suicidally stupid in a situation like that? It would be him.

[He crosses his arms over his chest.]
I'm not going to go running in guns blazing if that's what you're worried about. It's about saving Rafael, not taking down a god.
>> Arden
There are a few things we need to discuss before we take off, though.
[Another glance in Sam's direction, only this time she looks grim.]

> for Rose
She's talking about me. [He drags his hands through his hair.] I mentioned to Rose that after we get through this next thing, I want to talk to Tia about psionics, make sure I've got a handle on them. We agreed that we should talk about it with you. After everything with...you know...
[He winces.]
I need a second opinion. A better one. [Better than you-know-who. He taps his temple once.] She released the lock on my brain. I gotta figure out what that means now and what I've gotta do to make sure I'm the one with the reins here. And if that means practicing, that's what I've gotta do.
>> Arden
It's what she only wished had been done for her a thousand times over and god knows more hiding shit wasn't going to get them anywhere.]

[He's trying REALLY hard here not to start a fight, but the word 'freak' is triggering him a little.]
I'm not talking about throwing them around for any old thing. I'm talking about figuring out what to do next, getting help from people we can actually trust, and learning how to control it so that it can't control me.
[He shakes his head.]
It doesn't help that the stuff we're going up against? A well-placed bullet isn't going to cut it.
>> Arden
Neither will your abilities, Sam.
[She holds up her hand before either of them can respond, trying to make her point clear, first.]
You can't make wanting to learn what you can and can't do about that. It has to be about you. Not Hell or what's coming, but because you need it.
[That was at least something she thought Dean could understand. Maybe. She hoped... It would help if she was sold on the whole thing.]

I've got a couple of them, actually. [Worse case scenarios.] I lose control and I end up hurting someone, or worse, I hurt one of you guys. [A beat.] If I don't control them, then they control me whether I want them to or not, and I've had enough of that. I can't hate myself anymore.
In London, we've watched all these things we considered monsters take what they've been dealt and turned it into something bigger than us, you know? I can hate what did this to me, but I can't hate what it's made me. It's gonna eat me alive. But taking it and doing something good with it? It's the only way I can live with it.
