Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

Five years? Six? More than enough, but that's not my call.

Right.

[A beat.]

Guess you're going to be waiting on an answer for that for a while, given the ... situation.

[The Wynn situation. She doesn't know Hasmed or Solace well, but given what's been going down, she doesn't think the status of the people in Knight Time Out are going to be high on their priority list.]

So you're assuming Wynn won't be back.

[klep]

I'm not assuming anything. I didn't see what happened to him so I'm not weighing in on that one way or another.

[She doesn't like playing is he or isn't he games. As far as she's concerned, this is Schrodinger's Wynn and right now he's both.]

But calling back knights in rehab is probably going to be pretty low on the priority list.

[It's cold, but it's true.]

We've rarely been high on anyone's, so I don't consider that much of a change.

[klep]

Fair.

[Not that she thinks what's happening is fair, but more that his assessment of the situation is.]

On the other hand, this may actually be the end of the world.

[And it would put a bit of a kink in getting him pardoned out of here. Not that he'd have anywhere to go if the world ends.]

Our world's been on standby for years. At least it makes things interesting.

[klep]

[She laughs, though it's not necessarily a happy laugh.]

I usually prefer the less deadly kind of interesting, but then again I did decide to stick with this job. Guess I did that to myself.

Deadly has always been a factor in what we do.

[klep]

It has. But it ... really smacked me in the face recently.

[And obviously it was not in the fun way.]

Something beyond the Dark God ascending?

[klep]

Well, when you literally die in adjacent to that ascension it kind of has a way of putting things in perspective for you.

[Among other things.]

You've been through a rez. [ he states, but there's a hint of a question there, and a softening of his expression ]

[klep]

[There's a pause, because she could just lie and say yes, because that's what's expected, but she can't just bring herself to tell the truth either. So she just shrugs.]

Something like that.

[ he watches her carefully, and it's clear that he's aware this is much more than just a simple matter ] You don't have to talk about it.

[klep]

[She appreciates the out, she just doesn't want to make a big deal of the fact that she used to have another face.]

It's just ... something I'm still kind of processing, I guess. It hasn't really sunk in yet.

[At least not until she looks in the mirror.]

Some things take time, I suppose. Something one unfortunately can't hurry along.

[klep]

And this just happens to be one of those times where you really want to hurry it along.

[Especially since before the end of this, it's likely more trauma will be piled on top of it.]

At least you've plenty to distract you right now, theoretically.

Oh yeah.

[She smirks.]

Nothing like he end of the world to help you get your head out of your ass.

It's gotta be good for something, after all.

Ain't that the truth.

[She nods and takes a step back.]

But anyway. I should stop taking up too much of your time.

[pyrokineticist]

Because we're so very short on that here. [ the sarcasm is light-hearted at least, and he moves to leave ] Nice talking to you.

[klep]

[And with that she heads back into the castle to find some other way to waste some energy. /scene]
