Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[Even before she was a mother, Myri was always hyper compassionate. So hearing that it was a child that was attacked does twist at her heart. But she does her best to hold back a visible reaction. (will 37)]

What happened?

[littlebeast]

I was... hungry. [ the shame in her voice is more than evident, her fingers twisting against one another with her own apparent distress at the memory ] I couldn't think of anything else. I couldn't think straight at all.

[witchwoman]

[Myri's breath catches in her throat as the words wash over her. There's something so visceral about that word - hungry. Coupled with Sveta's description of this beast inside of her, her mind's eye takes care of the rest.

But what she also hears is remorse. And Myri more than most people knows precisely what it's like to have a power inside of you that compels you beyond limits you would choose otherwise. Only a few heartbeats had stood between her own life and death when she attempted to heal Jade in that hospital room. It has taken her years to learn to ignore that call, to stop herself from running into danger just because she can feel the life force of a loved one fading.

The pull comes from a different place. But the way it overwhelms, consumes all thought? Oh, that she can relate to quite easily.]

Do you still feel that hunger now?

[littlebeast]

Sometimes. [ she doesn't hesitate, as if once she made the choice to be honest, she can speak out more bluntly ] But here I can control it. Here, there's less noise.

[witchwoman]

[She nods, glancing down.]

Have you tried to undo the magic that bound you to this beast? My sister's magic is deeply connected to nature, and she's a healer as well. Perhaps there's something she and I could do..?

[littlebeast]

It's too late. It's who I am. I can't not be who I am.

[witchwoman]

I understand. I'm sorry if I was out of line.

Thank you for telling me about your past. I know it can't be easy to remember something like that. And I can feel how your heart aches.

[littlebeast]

You don't want me to leave, do you?

[witchwoman]

No, of course not. It's good that you've found a place where you can feel more in control. I'm only sorry if our presence has disrupted your routine at all- made it more difficult for you.

[littlebeast]

It is fine, I promise. There are only so many of you... Vlasi has a harder time with the change than the rest of us.

[witchwoman]

Why is that? Should I try to tell the little ones to steer clear?

[Look, she and Vi can do some toddler herding. They just need to know who should be avoided- for the well being of the residents or for the girls'.]

[littlebeast]

He won't hurt them. He just... dislikes company.

[witchwoman]

Fair enough. I know they can be a bit much even for the most social of people. I'll ask them to give him some space. [She offers Sveta a warm smile.]

I'd still like to learn how to make some warmer clothes for myself and the children, if you're still willing to show me. [She glances to the supplies that had caught on Sveta's claws.] We could make our way to the common area and work on something small, perhaps?

[littlebeast]

[ she honestly looks shocked that myri still wants anything to do with her, and nods numbly, clearly grateful but not sure how to express it.
