The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many.  Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility near Las Vegas.  It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return.  Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.

[Barry doesn't feel like he's doing great because he's not really retaining as much of this as he would like. He wishes someone who was actually useful in this area were here.]

[ there's a long pause before kali gently and carefully ventures: ]

Tony built me a robot pangolin, but I haven't seen him in a long time. Oh! Topher.

[ DUh, KALI. ]

Topher is good at all this stuff. He helped fix my brain when I was still in the lab.

Oh! I know Topher.

[He spins around in his chair so that he's facing her and smiles.]

I'll see if I can track him down.

[He may definitely use super speed to do it, disappearing in a blur of gold lightning for a moment, before returning with likely a very confused Topher.

... Hopefully he doesn't suffer from motion sickness.]

[One minute Topher was just pacing the Hoard labs, being despondent about the situation and having to return to a place as close to home as he's been since he's left, knowing that LA is basically a warzone.

....And the next he's somewhere else. Kali and Barry are here, so he knows he wasn't just fucking abducted out of NOWHERE and the castle isn't being attacked again, but it still makes him flail and stumble back.]

What the- what just- [He squints, his eyes slowly clarifying] Dude, not cool. I could throw up on your shoes right now.

[ kali reaches out to gently hold topher's arm, as if concerned he might very well pass out along with the threat to vomit. ]

Sorry, Topher. We need your help. On a project that would be to your benefit as well considering we're going back to America.

[ and he is from the same shadowy agency that made her so. ]

[Barry will grab a nearby garbage can and hold it out to him, just in case. Please don't throw up on his shoes.]

We were hoping that you might be able to design an app that could send an alert to my phone if someone's in trouble. Kind of like a Flash signal.

[Topher sort of disengages from his friends- not for the threat of vomiting so much as he needs to process this properly.]

Yeah, I get that. I- [Oof. Okay. He pinches his nose to collect himself further.] You want me install a panic button app for the Drakenet, specifically for you, 'cause you're all... Need for Speed 24/7? Am I getting that right?

Yes. So if I am in danger I can Bat Signal him. [ a beat, turning to barry. ] Is Batman real?

I have no idea.

[This Barry hasn't met Supergirl yet, so the world may never know.]

But basically yeah. If you guys are in trouble, I can theoretically zip in and get you out of there. Granted, I'm a lot slower than I used to be but not so slow that I can't do a quick rescue if needed.

If he is, I hope he doesn't have a patent for this, 'cause I'm about to rip it off. [Well that was a fucking spotlight, not a phone app. Batman really needs to update with the times.

He flails his arms in muted excitement, because he's still a knot of anxiety.] Look at you two, keeping me from my inevitable existential crisis.

It is going to be fine, Topher. [ she was literally just fretting about it but now that topher is fretting kali turns it off immediately. ] I'll keep you safe, I promise.

We'll all keep each other safe.

[Barry is all about belief in the team, and this app will likely be able to help him in that regard too.]

That's what teams are for, right? So you guys don't have to go into this alone.

Yeah? [Topher's voice comes out as a squeak.] My track record is just... Not great right now. Remember Gar? That wasn't a good time. And we're doubling down hard on going into worse times with these people.

[Even thinking about Gar and how they left things hurts him. He wishes he had a chair to sink into, so instead he just sinks against the wall, rubbing at his face.] I'll get started. This is a good start. It's a great idea. I'm all for it. This whole thing is just a lot worse than anything I've had to deal with, including where Kali and I came from. That's nothing compared to total world domination.

[Well, if Pegasus had had its way then maybe it would have come to that, but there weren't any flarking gods.]

[ and kali is here to help. to provide direction for them both. she is a giver. ]
