open ♔ castle farewell socialization

WHO || The Knights [ota!]
WHAT || The Knights prepare to depart for America
WHERE || The castle, London
WHEN || Directly after this is announced, Fall 2017
HOW || Actionspam
The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many. Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility near Las Vegas. It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return. Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.
[ This is the social log for anything before the Knights relocate to Las Vegas ]

David Charming | See options
[Unbeknownst to him, David has arrived just as some big news has been dropped. As he heads into the castle, canvas bag slung over his shoulder, he can't stop himself from sweeping his gaze around every inch of the hallways. It's familiar, of course, but he's spent more time away than within this castle's walls.
Honestly, he doesn't even remember which room is his.]
-----
[ota]
[Once he settles in and catches up on what's going on, David spends most of his time trying to be useful. Need a hand packing? He's got you. Want to get some sparring in to get pumped for whatever fight comes next? Ready to roll. Want to discuss the finer points of sheep herding?
Okay probably no one will take him up on that one.]
arrival
Almost.
He looks different. His hair is too long and he looks kind of homeless, but — No. She stops, dead in the walkway between idk one place and another place while trying to pack shit up in the castle.
Good news: she's not a kelpie anymore.
Bad news: she drops her coffee mug and runs over like she expects him to ? ?? leave ?? or something. It's not a running hug or anything. They're not close enough for that. They'd never gotten the chance. But she does reach for his arm to look him over and — ]

She still acted grumpy, though. It was the principal of the thing. Surely trying to take down Mafia bosses in Chicago was a worthwhile adventure? No?
This whole Vegas thing is big. Really big. And she can't just not talk to her Mom about it even if she's being super stubborn about trying to patch things up.
She heads into the Hoard wing, finds her Mom packing up. That answers her first question, anyway.]

If he's not there, he's back at the castle, packing and trying to help keep spirits up where he can. He's also trying to keep himself distracted from worrying too much about Felicity. So he's eager to jump at the chance for company to keep his mind busy.]

She has a feeling it's not just her fault, and she's just new and she'd maybe be getting the hang of this if they weren't immediately leaving, but she's trying to find her way back to Thea's room and she just keeps getting turned around.
What is completely her fault, however, is how she runs just smack dab into the person coming the opposite way because she's looking around, trying to find familiar landmarks and her eyes widen in surprise as she steadies both of them as a result.]

and yet here they are.
mug of tea in her hands, bea is sitting on the steps of the main staircase, leaning back on one elbow while she looks up at the ceiling, muttering to herself: ] Why don't we just go balls to the walls and head to Italy...
[ she knows they will be in secret, but still!
outside of that she can be found packing up various rooms around the castle, a small crystal bunny hopping along behind her, in the kitchen cooking huge batches of stew in the kitchen to feed anyone that is hungry after packing and stress eating saltwater taffy. ]

she brings back starbucks because it would be cruel to come back to lockdown without bringing coffee for at least twelve people (because she can only carry three trays with four coffees each), and makes her way through the castle for the few people she must seek out before they seek her out, namely david himself with his black coffee, faye, and.
ugh she's going to have to apologize to eric.
that done, lila makes a point to pack up the rest of the things she had left behind at the castle, stopping by the hide wing to see if she can grab a couple spare guns, to the hoard wing to see if zero needs help packing up from his favorite child ever, and just generally around the castle, small white pseudodragon following behind her. ]

kali eats her emotions and since everyone is leaving (and she assumes everyone and that no one will be left behind), she decides that the best course of action for her is to eat her way through the contents of the pantry and then see if she can be helpful moving heavy things.
mostly though, she is making this box of devil dogs her bitch, going so far as to carry it around with her while she munches so she doesn't have to keep going back to the kitchen to get a new one once she's finished. maybe she will share her snacks, holding out a wrapped package. ]

sitting this out is not what she wants to do but they're not fighting reanimated mummies this time and ella honestly doesn't know if she has the willpower to deny a god who could want to use her undead body for who knows what. so here (or more likely in ireland) she will stay.
doesn't exactly leave her in a good mood though. ]
[REY]
That was not easy to obtain, dearie.
[You owe him, you treasonous hussy.]

[ Rey's eyes are wide.
She doesn't have much to pack. She's mostly been watching other people, and occasionally helping out with equipment packing for the wings for what they can actually manage to take. She reaches for the box slowly, hesitant, almost afraid.
Jaina's warning is close at hand. But she needs this. Wynn would want her to have it. Her fingers settle on the edge of the box, smoothing against the corners with a sort of reverence. She knows what this is worth because she knows what Val'drin wanted for it. ]

Deryn Argall - OTA
He spent his hours awake packing, or sitting out in the garden. Part of him wanted to seek out Ava or Natasha, a shameful part of him wanted to catch the first ferry back to Leira. He did neither, he simply packed and when he wasn't in the garden or packing he was sitting at the bar.
He rarely drank but this was one of those days. The fact that his hair laid flat and straight with no sign of his normal feathers was a sign he felt off. ]
Mars, Venus & Melody - OTA
The young blonde preteen pulled open the bedroom door to the room she was sharing with her brother, it was clear they had argued but Venus wanted out so she opened the door to let the cat go explore. Mars was inside with multiple suit cases open. ]
I know it seems bleak, but trust me. It'll get better. I have faith in this, and even if its not idea it's safer than you being out with no training like I was.
[ He spoke aloud, as the girl looked unsure before lifting her hands, the dancing lights moving between her fingers before she looked at her brother. ]
You better be right, Marshall... I don't like this. [ She replied while leaning by the door watching people as they packed.]

When he's not busy with work things, he's being a dad. Babies are a lot of work, okay. Who needs sleep anyway.
But also- he and Bo need to decide what they're doing. Can they move to America with their Shadowkind-blooded child? Would it be safe? Should they both go and risk neither of them making it through this fight? There are some serious conversations ahead of them. So he may not be in the best mood whenever someone runs into him.]

She waits until he's not holed up in the computer lab. After she gets their son down for his nap, she moves back to the couch and has a seat, her expression grim.]
We can't take him to America right now.

And now it's time to pour fifty out or have a drink for the place that's been home for her for a few years now. So she's in a common room with a bottle of vodka and a shotglass, ruminating and taking a shot every few minutes.
Either find her packing and getting rid of shit earlier, or taking vodka shots later. ]

eight thousand years later, I'm so sorry
Lol its cool.
(skye & alex)
She's not made for a Knight's life. Not really. It's too ... removed.
It also means she can't really get back and figure out where Alex went, though. She knew he was gone, but she hadn't had the chance to ask around on her way out to see if anyone knew where he'd gone. He hadn't left a trace, either. Wherever he was, he wasn't using his real name.
So she grabs her laptop, the only possession that she's carried with her through all this, and she parks in a cafe until she finds him. It's not easy. By the look of it, Alex really didn't want to be found by anyone from the Knighthood. He's covered his tracks, and he's obviously got experience covering them too — no surprise, given his time with the mob. He's got good reason to hide.
But, well. Skye hacked into SHIELD from a van. She's got this.
Eventually she gets a receipt, though, from somewhere in downtown London where one of his cards was used. From there she can find the last place his cell phone pinged a GPS satellite, and ... There he is. She stuffs her laptop into her bag and heads down to the apartment of Epiphany Greaves. Whoever the hell that is.
Skye has changed her clothes, at least, since she'd seen Alex the previous day. It's taken her all day to find him, though, so it's close to dinner time before she's knocking on the apartment door. ]

piffy and he had worked out the fake identity details the night before, and he already had some fakes she'd given him before. he was like yep i got this nobody is ever gonna find me. at least, not for awhile. there'd be too much chaos around the castle to be doing an immediate full head count — that was what his logic brain decided, anyway.
his logic brain decided that, since that was probably true, nobody would notice if he used his card one last time to buy a fuckin bagel. HE WAS HUNGRY 😩
and that's how he gets busted. he almost doesn't get the door, seeing how he's not supposed to be here (hiding from piffy's dad is a whole separate misadventure), but piffy's not there to get it and his paranoia gets the best of him. he peaks through the peephole in the door.
the fuck??? ? ?
he opens the door by roughly one inch. ]

Faith.
At the very end, he had been so grateful for her compassion, her concern over his life. He couldn't quite recall the name she had called out before she faded from his vision, but it had sounded like a prayer.
He had only a few, brief moments to take in the endless grey expanse of river surrounding him, only just enough time for that feeling of dread and loneliness to creep back in before it feels as though he is physically pulled from the place. It's fast, confusing, and a bit painful before he finds himself blinking up at the overcast sky through a canopy of foliage. The ground is hard and a bit damp beneath his back, and it takes a few more moments of him lying there to regain feeling in all of his extremities. It's another few minutes before he is able to accept that this was real, he was actually lying on the ground and not stuck in that endless river, and that yes, it was actually raining and he was getting quite wet.
It's as this all sinks in that he realizes he is...quite naked. And laying just on the edge of a monstrous lawn, bordered by the woods he was currently looking through. With what feels like a herculean effort, he finally brings himself to standing, wobbling as he tries to get his feet beneath him. The woods are dense but through the trees, he is able to spot what looks like a tiny cabin and he makes his way there slowly, sending out a holler so as not to startle its possible occupants. When he receives no response he will enter to find it is quite neat and orderly, though it seems as though its occupant had planned on being gone for a while. The fireplace was empty, the cupboards bare but for the dishes and utensils left. He is, thankfully, able to find a worn pair of clothing, and for someone of his size and stature, it is a tight fit.
Faith. Her name, her face was branded in his mind. He had to find her, to find this Karthur Institute she had spoken of. She had saved his life, quite possibly his soul. He didn't know how he had ended up in this place so obviously not the Reservoir, but he had no doubt that she had somehow had a part in it.
So, he heads out of the cabin, intending on finding the closest town, to find food and shelter and then to begin his search for her. Surprisingly, as he leaves the little cabin and heads for the edge of the forest, what looms in front of him is not just an expansive lawn, but a massive castle. Not the castle he had known, either. This castle was big on a scale he had never seen before, large enough to fit two, possibly three of his inside.
No better place to start than what was right in front of him. He heads towards the castle, finally finding the front entrance and the gigantic double front doors. Here goes...
Knock knock!!]
