The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many.  Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility near Las Vegas.  It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return.  Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.

Come to think of it, not really. And I would know. I'm full of bad ideas. To outweigh all the awesome ones.

I'm not entirely sure that is something to be proud of?

[ but she was very sheltered so who knows. ]

I prefer my practicality. [ i mean she has like three total friends and only one of them has left her so like. it's working out well for her? ]

You know what would be impractical? Letting those Cheetos go to waste, when we could be rocking out to David Bowie.

I think I should know who that is, but I don't know who that is.

[ what a time for a knowledge crit fail tho. apparently peter has never played space oddity for her??? that is terrible. help her obi-wan quillobi. ]

... I've never been as disappointed with myself as in this moment. C'mon, grab the snacks, we're going on an odyssey of sound.

Don't be disappointed, it's not your fault.

[ she feels a little bad though, like how she felt when she mixed up linda blair and linda hamilton. grabbing an armful of snacks, she follows peter for her music lessons. ]

We've been friends for how long now? This should have been 101.

[felidity]

[ presumably he didn't want an actual time but here we are: ]

We met two and a half years ago but I'm not sure that counts as how long we have been friends. You would probably know better on that front.

[starprince]

If you say so. Even strangers deserve to hear about the greats.

[ peter is A Good, as the kids say. ]

Now hold your horses for a second, we've gotta do this properly. [ he's steering her towards his room, which is a hot mess right now, given that he's like mid-packing. don't worry though, his cassette player is definitely not packed away yet, and he's going straight for his stacks. ] Now normally I'd say chronological, but I think this is an emergency situation.

Are we starting from the middle?

[ they're not... drake? no starting from the bottom this time? ]

[starprince]

We're doing emergency surgery here, and going straight to #1.

[felidity]

A tactical strike right to the testicles.

[ there's a clicking sound as he locks the requisite cassette into place. ]

Prepare to get your rocks blown straight off.

[ and the strains of space oddity will begin filling the room, as peter slowly starts moving his head back and forth to the groove ]

[ it starts slow and kali tries really hard not to look like her rocks aren't being blown off because peter obviously thinks this song is important enough to skip the rest of the discography but it isn't until a minute and a half in when the song picks up that kali seems to start paying attention.

she waits for the song to end to question, Concerned: ] Major Tom dies?

Not necessarily. Maybe he's just lost in space, free to go see all there is to see.

I want to go to space. They've sent dogs, why can't they send me?

[ aside from missing all of the necessary training and know how, of course. ]

[starprince]

The second the Milano's flight capable again? You've got a first class ticket to ride.

[felidity]

[ kali looks thoughtful and also delighted because space!! but something seems to be giving her pause and then she makes a decision with a nod. ]

Alright, let's fix her. [ she stands up, hands on hips and peter should be proud that kali called the milano a her and not an it.. ] Bring David Bowie.
