The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many.  Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility near Las Vegas.  It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return.  Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.

We met two and a half years ago but I'm not sure that counts as how long we have been friends. You would probably know better on that front.

Now hold your horses for a second, we've gotta do this properly. [ he's steering her towards his room, which is a hot mess right now, given that he's like mid-packing. don't worry though, his cassette player is definitely not packed away yet, and he's going straight for his stacks. ] Now normally I'd say chronological, but I think this is an emergency situation.

Are we starting from the middle?

[ they're not... drake? no starting from the bottom this time? ]

[starprince]

We're doing emergency surgery here, and going straight to #1.

[felidity]

A tactical strike right to the testicles.

[starprince]

[ there's a clicking sound as he locks the requisite cassette into place. ]

Prepare to get your rocks blown straight off.

[ and the strains of space oddity will begin filling the room, as peter slowly starts moving his head back and forth to the groove ]

[ it starts slow and kali tries really hard not to look like her rocks aren't being blown off because peter obviously thinks this song is important enough to skip the rest of the discography but it isn't until a minute and a half in when the song picks up that kali seems to start paying attention.

she waits for the song to end to question, Concerned: ] Major Tom dies?

Not necessarily. Maybe he's just lost in space, free to go see all there is to see.

[felidity]

I want to go to space. They've sent dogs, why can't they send me?

[ aside from missing all of the necessary training and know how, of course. ]

[starprince]

The second the Milano's flight capable again? You've got a first class ticket to ride.

[felidity]

[ kali looks thoughtful and also delighted because space!! but something seems to be giving her pause and then she makes a decision with a nod. ]

Alright, let's fix her. [ she stands up, hands on hips and peter should be proud that kali called the milano a her and not an it.. ] Bring David Bowie.

[starprince]

[ his mouth opens, probably to protest that, y'know, without an engine, she's not exactly fixable. there's something in her enthusiasm for the project that brings a little smile to his face, and he reaches out to scoop up the handle of the cassette player. ] Alright, let's go see what we can do.

[felidity]

[ maybe she'll just dust the whole ship, maybe she will divine the location of the engine! maybe!!! maybe they will just eat cheetos and listen to bowie on the milano. not a bad option.

she grins at peter and off they trot to idk where the ship is but they're going there. ]

[ should we wrap with a montage so we can do New Stuff?? ]

[ fixing things! dusting things! having the earth's best dance party! still no engine but at least kali finally knows who the fuck ziggy stardust is! c'est fini! ]
