open ♔ castle farewell socialization

WHO || The Knights [ota!]
WHAT || The Knights prepare to depart for America
WHERE || The castle, London
WHEN || Directly after this is announced, Fall 2017
HOW || Actionspam
The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many. Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility near Las Vegas. It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return. Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.
[ This is the social log for anything before the Knights relocate to Las Vegas ]

David Charming | See options
[Unbeknownst to him, David has arrived just as some big news has been dropped. As he heads into the castle, canvas bag slung over his shoulder, he can't stop himself from sweeping his gaze around every inch of the hallways. It's familiar, of course, but he's spent more time away than within this castle's walls.
Honestly, he doesn't even remember which room is his.]

[Once he settles in and catches up on what's going on, David spends most of his time trying to be useful. Need a hand packing? He's got you. Want to get some sparring in to get pumped for whatever fight comes next? Ready to roll. Want to discuss the finer points of sheep herding?
Okay probably no one will take him up on that one.]
arrival
Almost.
He looks different. His hair is too long and he looks kind of homeless, but — No. She stops, dead in the walkway between idk one place and another place while trying to pack shit up in the castle.
Good news: she's not a kelpie anymore.
Bad news: she drops her coffee mug and runs over like she expects him to ? ?? leave ?? or something. It's not a running hug or anything. They're not close enough for that. They'd never gotten the chance. But she does reach for his arm to look him over and — ]
You're back!

This is honestly much better than any scenario he'd imagined.]
Just got in a few minutes ago, actually. [He reaches over to place his hand on top of hers where it rests on his arm.] Emma, I... [Is it the right time to apologize and unload literal years of self reflection? Probably not.] How are you?
no subject
[ Emma says this with a lopsided sort of relief. Selkie. Killed Hook. Hook came back. Broke up with him anyway. She squeezes his arm then, but drops it after a moment. ]
I can't believe you're really here.
no subject
But I knew you'd find a way to break the curse. It was just a matter of time.

....David?
[She comes around the corner and is shocked into silence as she freezes in place. He looks different and yet exactly the same. She couldn't possibly forget that he likely has no idea who she is, but it takes every inch of willpower she has in her body not to run for him.
She looks halfway on her way to crying instead. I'm sure this won't be terrible at all.
Emma, halp.]
no subject
She turns around to spot her and — ]
Maybe we should take this out of the entrance hall.
no subject
...I think you're right. [He reaches down to gather his bag again, slinging it over his shoulder and gesturing for someone else to lead the way. He hasn't been in this place in years. He doesn't know where to go that's private.]
no subject
Yes. That's a good idea.
[She simply...starts to walk. Maybe on the way she'll figure out where she's going, or one of them will steer her in a good direction.]
no subject
The dining hall.
Well, at least it's empty- since it's not a mealtime and everyone is busy packing and whatnot.]
no subject
So you heard about Amara.
no subject
...well, you know. It's like bringing up the woman your husband had an affair with, lack of memory or no.
Also that whole curse thing. Yikes.]
just gonna drop this here in case yall still want to do the thing
I did. I don't know how you did it, but... thank you. It doesn't excuse what I did, but I'm just glad she's free of it.
otahhhh
no subject
Honestly, he looks like he's more likely to give you a recommendation for a good music festival than someone who is battle ready.]
