[ Kenzi had threatened Paige with a ladies night and of course, if anyone needed a night out it was Bo. The fact that there's also a talking Tree, a drinking Raccoon and... Drax? It's Kenzi. Why is anyone shocked by the people that she spends time with? She has ideas and they spin out of control and you just sort of hang on for the ride. It's her way. She may have casually mentioned they were coming here to a few other people, so if you happen to show up as well? The more the merrier.

The location itself isn't exactly filled with the garish glitz and glamor that a person generally associates with Vegas. Pandora has a British Pub meets modern day speakeasy feel to it. It's known for its signature cocktails with names like Panty Dropper and the Hot Little Mess and you can always count on live entertainment in the form of dancers, magicians, a band and of course, a DJ. It also happens to be one of the few clubs that has an open door policy where Shadowkind are concerned. Whether they'll be rethinking said policy after tonight? We just don't know. ]

[ Don't worry, it won't stop her from trying to climb him like he's Everest and she's determined to plant her damn flag. She is, smol though and she's basically doing an impression of a sucker fish as she wraps her arms around his neck to keep from falling. What's a little choking, right?

[ And here I thought, at least her quick reflexes should save her but then, she crit failed so... instead of being able to save herself, her feet hit the floor of the elevator and she stumbles over her 3 inch heels before landing on her ass.

All of this of course occurs between shrill laughter and shrieks which manage to fill the confined space. How are they this ridiculous? ]

[ She is beauty, she is grace, she is going to stick to standing in front of him because it somehow seems safer. ]

[ Her laughter softens into a smile at seeing him with that air of happiness around him and she reaches up to trace the curve of his mouth with a finger, as if to draw attention to that joy. ]

[ his eyes lock on hers, a spark of mischief riding shotgun with that happiness, his hand moving to her waist with a sort of casual familiarity of touch that's got an appeal all its own ] What? Being this attractive?

I mean, it's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. [ the widening smirk beneath her fingertips makes it clear that he's probably being this smug just to provoke her ] Plus, look who's talking.

[ Even with her rocking sense motive she's still going to give him a light tap on the cheek. This bitch. So damn smooth. ~~she loves it~~. ]

Yeah but I'm hot and awesome. [ Her grin widening as one hand slips behind his neck, her fingers dancing along his hairline. ]

[ he allows her to draw him back into the levity of the comment, his own smirk softening into something else as he studies her and says: ]

[ there's enough of a slight veil of caution behind his eyes to make it clear enough to the canny observer that a) he knows that's a vast oversimplification of things and ignores a lot of other bullshit going on and b) it's very bold of him to claim he's 'got the girl' at all, to said girl's face, and he's not entirely sure how she's going to take it, but he's throwing it out there anyway. yolo ]

[ I'm sorry. Did he say something after that second part? Cause, she kind of heard that and then her brain stopped functioning. It's fine. I'm sure it will start working any second now.

For the person who usually does such a good job of shielding her reactions, she sure does suck at it now. It's there in the unguarded flicker of surprise that gives way to something more. It's like you can see every thought that rolls through her head; The unspoken question of if he's being serious or not. The thought that maybe he is. The smile that slowly rolls its way onto her lips that almost manages to look embarrassed as she mentally wants to smack herself upside the head for how much she likes the sound of that. ]

[ Those words comically emphatic as she continues to fight the goofy grin she now tries to smother against his chest.

[ amusement lights his features as she buries herself against him and hides her face, and if it hadn't been for the way she'd had such a visible face journey moments before, he might be more concerned. instead, his hand slides up the center of her back, a gesture of assurance that he wasn't just bullshitting and also a little bit of possessive affection in the way he hooks her a little closer beneath his palm ]

So. Still down for another night, or do you think they're going to send out a search party?

[ It’s such a small thing, something that should hardly mean as much as it does, but it’s that slight increase of pressure that settles the emotions wreaking havoc on her insides. He’d feel the way she leans into it, unseen traces of tension slipping away and she exhales a stream of hot air against his chest and lifts her gaze to meet his.

She is. So gone, at this point that she’s not even going to try and deny it. She’s just quietly hoping he doesn’t call her on what’s written all over her face. ]

[ his voice rumbles in his chest beneath her fingers when he replies ] Oh yeah? [ there's a pleased edge to the words, and his hand cups her cheek as he bends down to draw her into a romantic kiss -- just as the door opens, and there's a coughing sound there from the woman waiting to get on the elevator ]

[ It's one of those stupidly perfect moments that's been pulled right out of a John Hughes movie and then... some bitch legit has to clear her throat. They're in a hotel in Vegas, lady. Be grateful they have clothes on.

Almost, as if to spite her, she lingers in the kiss a little longer, their lips still brushing as she allows herself this moment to freefall... and then a grin slowly makes its way across her lips. ]

[ yeah, he's not any better about it, lady can wait. luckily, this is their floor anyway, so he just keeps his arm around her waist and pushes forward past the woman, rubbing a finger across his nose with his other hand to hide his smirk. when they get past, and the woman huffily gets in behind them, he turns around to glance at her before glancing down at kenzi with a wink ] Think you might be onto something.

[ She doesn't make that exit particularly easy, either, leaning back against him as he shuffles her forward. Her arm comes around to rest on top of his, holding him to her and she's craning her neck to look up at him as she remains unaffected by the strangers judgment. ]

I'm gonna be onto something else in a minute. [ Injecting those words with as much suggestion as she can manage... (charm: 51) and then like the ass that she is, she finally acknowledges the stranger and offers her the brightest, most enthusiastic smile she can force her face to make. ]
