The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope none of you are shy. They're all here to meet you.

That I am, Andie. Thoster's the name. Lovely to meet you. [He reaches down to take her hand, lifting it up to kiss the back of it with a wink.]

I can hardly imagine how anyone gets anything done around here with so many beautiful women hanging about.

[Oh my god, so much blushing. Men don't often kiss her hand and call her beautiful. She is... so susceptible to flattery.] Oh... uh... [She giggles a little.] We don't always stick around the castle. Maybe you'll be sent out with ugly women.

[Now that's a reaction Thoster loves. Talking to a blushing, flustered woman is a dance he mastered long ago. He raises an eyebrow and laughs at her comment.]

Hardly a solution! If they keep me squirreled away with those, I'd never see the likes of you again. And I'll go tell that Wynn fellow myself that I won't stand for such a thing.

[Oh my god he's going to kill her with his charmingness. KILL HER. She cannot handle it.]

I could probably visit! [She's... pretty sure she stopped making sense, but it's hard enough keeping track of things when people aren't flirting so blatantly with her.]

[He smiles at her over his drink.]

Oh, promises, promises! [He sets the glass down on a nearby table and holds out a hand to her.]

But for now, you're here and I'm here and it's a party. So what do you say we dance? [A very lively tune has started up and Thoster knows his way around the dance floor. So why not?]

Dancing? Us? [She giggles a bit, then nods, almost shyly.] Sure! I like dancing. [She puts his hand in his.]

Others will be too, I'm sure. But I'll be the one with the prettiest partner. [And once her hand slips into his, he pulls her closer and whisks her out to the dance floor, turning the both of them in a wide circle towards the center of the room.]

Oh. [MORE BLUSHING. But it's not enough to throw her off her dance game, apparently (dex check 26), and she moves with grace and elegance.]

[He's impressed by her grace, which is evident by the raised eyebrows and the grin that hasn't left his face since they began talking.]

Light on your feet, aren't ya? I like a girl that can keep up!

[She smirks, showing the usual cockiness that comes out when she's talking about speed.] Keeping up's really never a problem for me.

[bluffcheck]

[He likes that smirk. In fact, for a moment, all of his attention is drawn right to her mouth because of it. And possibly because of the alcohol. But he pulls his gaze back to her eyes eventually.]

I'll keep that in mind. [There's not as much time for talking because he's going to spin her!]

[She lets out a surprised squeak, spinning under his arm, but she doesn't trip up or anything. She's too light on her feet for that.]

[bluffcheck]

[Thoster laughs and draws her back to him, weaving them further through the crowd, never staying in one place for long. He likes to move as he dances, make a show of it.

Sadly, though, the song ends soon after. And Thoster brings them up to a halt, grinning like a fool.]

You're good! Very good... [Again, he makes no issue with casually checking her out.]

[And again, Andie is definitely okay with this turn of events, blushing again and glancing down at her feet. At least he didn't turn to stone like the last boy she danced with.]

Yeah, uh, you too. You were awesome.

[bluffcheck]

[He takes her hand and kisses the back of it, looking up at her and winking.]

I'll be seeing you, I'm sure.

[But he's a social butterfly. And he has to remain at least a little mysterious, so he's going to be making his way back into the crowd.]
