It's that time again.  New squires would have heard the word come 'round that there would be open weapons orientation this Saturday - which is also open to anyone who just wants to come spar with the newbies as well.  As before, at the top of the main staircase is the entrance to an incredibly spacious room, that has gym and weight training equipment on the wall near the door, and then lots of old school training dummies and more at the far end. A glass door enters into a firing range, and another pair of large doors on the farthest wall lead to the armory.

With Dovan and Luthir gone on missions, a surly looking Sir Lanston stands waiting for you all, decked out in his elaborate full plate, though he has no helm on.  He leans on an incredibly dangerous looking sword, as Fred offers a much more friendly greeting to the gathered, motioning them all over.

[Thoster's point was more that this guy is so huge that he could be spotted a mile away. Oddly, Thoster is pretty good at blending, when he needs to. But that's neither here, nor there right now.]

Sparring, huh? Think I've had enough of that for one day. [He rubs the back of his neck, but stops and looks at Riddick oddly.] Does anyone actually take you up on that?

I'd say that's a pretty good way to bet. I don't often lose. [Like ever. No, he's not arrogant at all, is he?]

[He sticks his hand out to Thoster, giving him a cocky grin.] Richard B. Riddick. You?

Call me Thoster. My mother did, and I've grown to like it.

[One of which is not giving a straight answer, apparently.]

[Riddick knows his type straight off. Hell, he'd worked with and killed plenty of them in the past. He raises a brow, a knowing and amused look coming into his eyes which unfortunately Foster can't see because of his awesome goggles :P]

I've known quite a few men of many skills. Can't say as though they were known for flying the straight and narrow or joining up with Knighthoods.

[This one is observant. Thoster finds it odd that he was asked to join the Knights just as much as anyone else might be. Still, he wasn't about to say no.]

I was approached with the chance to change my ways. A man can be redeemed, can he not?

[Sense Motive of a 23. He thinks the guy might be telling the truth, so far as he knew how to. Having known a lot of guys like him in the past still made Riddick leery of him, but for now he would take the man at his word.]

Can't say I haven't heard that before. The way I see it, we all make mistakes. It's what you do afterward that matters.
