[ This log covers any non-work related shenanigans the Knights have while staying in New Orleans. Because we haven't finished out the other two logs yet, assume some time has passed since then, in case anyone was injured, so that they've had sufficient time to get better.

As for work stuff, you can assume they've been busy with establishing Finnick's fake rock star cred, and investigating some of the intel they'll uncover in those other logs that we haven't quite gotten to yet. JUST DON'T TALK ABOUT WORK and all will be well.


Make your own threads, don't fuss about tag order, feel free to threadjack multiple people into one thread for hang-outs, ask me if you want a certain scene with an NPC, etc. forever whatever.]

I doubt you'd need to, for this sort of thing. Celebrities are supposed to be unique. You know, stand out.

Well, I certainly do that.

[She can laugh about it, though. Her elongated features and pale skin drew attention to her even in her own world.]

How long will you need to pretend?

Can't tell. Until this mission is over, probably.

[witchwoman]

Hmm... [She seems to be thinking it over.] I never realized that saying we all had a part to play would be literal in some cases.

Neither did I. But our group had a role that needed filling, and I met the requirements, so ... [he gestures around them as if to say "and here we are."]

[witchwoman]

I think it suits you well. And would appear to hold minimal chance for physical harm, which is wonderful.

I can only worry about so many people at once, after all.

You worry about me? [the idea that she meant it because he's part of their group doesn't really register to him (not initially, anyway), because he's used to things being all ~every man for himself~. such is the way of the hunger games.]

Of course.

[And the sentiment could not be more genuine. The idea of not being concerned for her teammates is really foreign to her. Even though she's been on her own for as long as she can remember, Myri has a bad habit of being emotionally invested in everyone she meets.]

Well, let me assure you, there won't be anything to worry about. I'm more than capable of taking care of myself.

Everyone says that. [She tosses back with a smile.]

But I'd appreciate it if you stayed in on piece, just the same.

Want me to promise it to you?

[witchwoman]

[She tilts her head slightly.]

Perhaps. It seems foolish, doesn't it?

Not at all. [he takes one of her hands in both of his and begins, very sincerely,] Myri, I promise you that I'll make it through this mission in one piece.

[witchwoman]

[She looks down at her hand, then back up at him, a soft smile painting her face.]

May the Stargods watch over you and keep you safe.

[Her free hand covers his.]

[he kisses her top hand lightly before pulling his hands out of their hand-tangle.] It's nothing. Maybe you should promise the same to me, huh? It'd be awful if something happened to you.

[A rush of warmth creeps to her cheeks as his lips touch the back of her hand. It's not like she's never been near a man before. There have been others, but none of them ever paid her much attention.]

I'm the healer, remember? But I promise you- I'll return safe and sound.

Better safe than sorry, don't you think?

[witchwoman]

[She laughs a little.]

Now you sound like me. Are you worried for me, then?

[65]

I wasn't before, but now? Maybe a little.

[witchwoman]

[She ducks her head briefly, but recovers to look back up at him]

I apologize if I've done anything since we've started talking to bring you cause for worry.

It was not my intention.

No, not at all! I just ... didn't know you too well before. But now that we've talked a little more, I feel inclined to care more. [hey at least he's honest.]

[witchwoman]

You are a unique man, Finnick. [But she says it with a smile.]

We shall look after each other, then?

So I've been told. [he smiles back.] It seems like we've already promised it.
