[ This log covers any non-work related shenanigans the Knights have while staying in New Orleans. Because we haven't finished out the other two logs yet, assume some time has passed since then, in case anyone was injured, so that they've had sufficient time to get better.

As for work stuff, you can assume they've been busy with establishing Finnick's fake rock star cred, and investigating some of the intel they'll uncover in those other logs that we haven't quite gotten to yet. JUST DON'T TALK ABOUT WORK and all will be well.

Make your own threads, don't fuss about tag order, feel free to threadjack multiple people into one thread for hang-outs, ask me if you want a certain scene with an NPC, etc. forever whatever.]

The Knights provide the resources and opportunity to use our skills. That doesn't mean we have to blindly believe all our fellow Knights - even Wynn himself - always have the greater good in mind. That's ignoring basic human nature.

And I'm sure you'd know all about base human nature. [ SLUT ]

I think the Knights have certainly proven themselves to be a philanthropic organization by now, and as for Wynn--

I can think of a lot of other places your "skills" could be used, lady. [ it comes off incredibly abrasive but there's not really a ... non-incredibly abrasive way for calling dumage a prostitute to come off. still, she practically snarls it. but she does seem to take mark's quiet slinky behavior to heart and backs off a little after that, frustration quieting as she moves away from the bar some. but UGH dumage. she just sets her jaw, tongue in cheek, and shakes her head. ]

[EXCUSE YOU SOME OF US AT THE TABLE ACTUALLY WERE PROSTITUTES.] Maybe you should share them with the table.

[ Gar is AGHAST.

AGHAST, I say. ]

Buffy.

[Okay. That's it. Myri slams a fist to the table in frustration, trying to grab the attention of the lot of them ]

Listen to yourselves! You're acting like children. And moreover, you're going to get us all killed with your carelessness!

[ she's ready to flounce but myri's eruption stops her because ... well, first of all, it's myri erupting and since when does that happen. second of all, she's right. buffy blinks and her shoulders ease some of the tension out. she shakes her head and sighs. ]

So much for relaxation time.

[w e l p. this has been very educational. finnick stares down into the bottom of his glass like if he does so long enough it will refill itself.]

[Wow, Myri, way to be assertive. Spike looks over at her, somewhat surprised.]

We shouldn't have to lock down every topic, I mean this is America. Magic's more mainstream here than most other countries.

[She brings her gaze to Kat, still looking wound up, but she sounds calmer already.]

Twice since we've left the castle, I've had to use my gifts to heal someone due to an attack.. There is danger here. I have no intention of inviting it into my bed.

[She looks at each of them]

I cannot control what you choose to speak about, but I will not sit here and take part. So, if you'll excuse me...

[Not exactly flouncing, but calmly exiting is more accurate. She doesn't want to ruin their night, nor does she want to put herself in a situation that makes her uncomfortable.]

[He looks up from his glass and makes a sad face as Myri goes off, but doesn't try to stop her or make any comment on it before looking back down.]

[ Dumage raises her glass and looks after her with one crooked brow. ]

Touchy, isn't she?

[Spike frowns at Dumage. He'd been on her side for a lot of the arguments and generally opposed to all the slut shaming, but no going around insulting Myri.]

We were bloody distressing her. Can't blame her for leaving.

Perhaps one of us should--

I'll go check on her. [ buffy gets up quickly, since she was going to leave anyway, and heads off without another word after myri. ]

[Myri glances over her should as Buffy approaches, smiling in a forced sort of way.]

I hope I haven't ruined everyone's night. That wasn't my intention.

You haven't ruined anything. If you ask me, they -- we owe you an apology. [ she gives her a little wry, hapless smile of her own. ] You were just trying to help. Things were getting ugly back there, anyway. The interruption was ... very needed.

[She glances back at the table.] I just don't want anything to happen to any of them.

[She pulls her gaze back to Buffy.]

Or you, for that matter. I've just found out what it's like to have people not turn me away for what I can do. I'm not too keen to lose it so quickly.

You're not going to lose us. Not ever. Okay? [ she reaches up to touch the side of myri's face, radiating reassurance. ] I promise. And, I'm ... I'm sorry we scared you. I'm sorry about all of that, actually. [ a beat. she drops her head and gives a little quirk of an eyebrow as she cants her head to the side, shoulder lifting in a shrug. ] Except the Dumage part. She deserved that.

[That last part gets a small laugh from Myri.]

She's not very good at being... [She searches for the right word for a minute.]

Nice.

Try not very good at being human. [ she wrinkles her nose in a way that conveys she just finds dumage to be a gross person in general. she's very judgy. ] But ... I shouldn't have let it get out of hand like that. [ a small, apologetic smile crops up. ]

You're not responsible for everyone. [She tucks her hair behind her ear, clearly feeling more at ease.]

I think we've just been together for so long that it's hard to forget that not everyone should hear what we're doing.
