With Dumage MIA and not responding to her phone, the girls quickly got ready for an evening at the home of the exceptionally talented singer who had dragged them in front of the audience at Notturno. Gar looks nice, if subtly so, in a mid-length red dress and simple make-up (11 Disguise check which is what I use for people prettyifying up). Kat's own attempts to do her make-up when left unaided in the bathroom left her coming out looking like Rocky Raccoon, unhappily smeared in blush and metallic eyeshadows (crit fail :( ), but after the other girls helped salvage her (15), she looks really pretty, though still not wearing anything remotely close to a dress. Ever.

The girls take a ride outside of town, driving through Veneto at breakneck speeds, because someone let Kat drive (check 17). What should be an hour's journey takes them half that time, and they pull up to the impressive sight of a dual story white and red villa that all but screams luxury.

Perhaps some friend of Rafael's? I am sure he has a great deal of ... er, friends.

Another musician, then. [It's not a question. She can see that it looks like two different hands wrote these papers.] But if she was here, he would have introduced her. [That one, she's less certain of.]

Some of the language makes it seem rather... intimate. [ kat's disgusted face prompts her to expand on that ] Not-- not that kind of intimate.

[Unfortunately, Myri is still operating under the assumption that Isabella is ~involved~ with Rafael, so this all make her brows furrow.] A lover?

[rationalizes]

Y-yes. [ she rifles through the pages, then points something else out. ] Although these seem to be dated to well over a year ago. ... All of them, actually.

[witchwoman]

Interesting. {Except that it doesn't tell them much about what they came here for- which was information on Nova and the sorts of things that Nassi brought up, right?]

Perhaps the next room will shed some light on this. [And she heads for the door.]

[ gar moves to make sure to put those back where myri found them lest anyone realize they were spying. then drags a reluctant kat away from the sharp things. ]

You're right, of course. [ she flushes a bit ] We probably shouldn't pry into Mr. Giovanni's personal life.

If it means avoiding any more awkward surprise orgy moments? Maybe we should be. Just sayin'.

[She stops and turns back to the both of them.]

It's good information to have. Perhaps this is why Isabella is so suspicious of us. Perhaps she was not fond of another woman in Rafael's life. I simply did not want us to run out of time to find as much as we can before he and Buffy return.

But you make a good point. I mean, it can't hurt to get the dirt, right? [ she shoves the next door open without even listening, because she is the best spy. ]

Of course having the entire picture would be rather helpful... [ oh hey, this is

the kitchen. it looks like a kitchen. :| but FANCY. ]

[Apparently Myri is really cut out for this snooping stuff because her Search checks are out of control. In this room, she gets a 23, even though she's assuming that as a kitchen it's going to be a bust.]

actually there is one because one of the drawers has this false bottom see.

[She replaces the false bottom on the drawer and closes it, not wanting anyone to know that they found that.]

At least we know what to expect. [She's thinking positive.]

We should keep moving.

[NEXT. Yeah her Listen check was only a 7, but she'll soldier on anyway. It worked out for Kat?]

[Myri gulps and looks at Kat and Gar before following him. What else can they do? Cooperating is the best way to avoid suspicion. Plus, they can probably play it off as just fans snooping instead of Knights snooping... right?]

[ Kat frowns, but shrugs and tails along, glancing over her shoulder in every open door she can as she walks by. ] Pretty classy digs, b-t-w. Not that we couldn't tell from the outside. But still. Surprised he can afford all this, not signing with a major label and all. [ c wut she did thar ]

Some of the house was financed by Signorina Alessandro. [ he states it simply, as if he need say no more. and pauses in front of a couple doors, gesturing. ] Your rooms.

[Well, that makes sense, seeing as Myri is convinced that Rafael and Isabella are ~together~ ... even if she does feel bad for him because of it.]

Thank you. [She says, trying to smile before opening one of the doors to see what's inside. She assumes he won't leave until he sees them head in.]
