Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Spike's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Hide members - the largest sect in the castle, with the most representatives here, and Lan, Wynn, and Dovan wait up at the front of the room for Spike to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. 

Wynn finally gets things rolling, by saying in his loud listen-to-me voice: "Approach and kneel, Sir Spike."

They haven't made him swallow garlic or walk across a bed of crosses yet, so no.

That's a strange ritual. [Myri doesn't understand your vampire references. But she does like popcorn. Steeealing.]

You'll have a much easier time at it than Spike will. [ she pops some popcorn in her mouth, mulling it over and then looking to kat, considering. ] Think it'd be in bad taste to eat during that part?

No. But it might be in bad taste for your waistline.

[u a fatty buffy. it's ok finnick is too. he slides in behind the failboat posse to steal a couple pieces of popcorn. he had to use the bathroom ok.]

What about garlic and crosses?

[ buffy shoots a glare at dumage because WHY IS THIS BITCH EVEN HERE. but luckily before she can say anything outright rude she gets distracted by finnick. ]

They're gonna be used to torture Spike. [ a beat. ] Is this with or without the armor? [ ... look she's js if he's shirtless it'd be worth it. it doesn't matter that she doesn't think it's seriously going down it's worth thinking about. ]

[rationalizes]

[ ever boring polite gar is the one to shush you all.

[Myri is torn between enjoying having everyone together and knowing that Gar is right.]

Perhaps we should be a bit quieter?

[ aw fuck mom's home. buffy quiets as gar shushes them, settling down further in her seat, tongue in cheek, expression all "WELL FINE THEN." and she remains quiet except popcorn munching noises for the rest of the ceremony. ]
