Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Myri's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Light members - a comparatively small sect, and Kat, Wynn, and the incredibly stoic Sir Solace, section head of the Light, wait up at the front of the room for Myri to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

"Approach and kneel, Sir Myrilandel."

[Myri has learned things! Like how to play with the angry birds in her phone. And how to read. And what high fives are! She reaches up and slaps Kat's hand with a grin, but steps closer to speak quietly next.]

I am not so certain that Sir Solace likes me, though.

I'm pretty sure that guy swallowed a lemon and then cast a permanency spell on his face.

[She covers her mouth to keep from laughing.]

Please tell me the rest of the Light are not all like him.

It's a pretty tiny sect, but they don't all look like sourpusses.

[witchwoman]

I'll have to find out for myself. [She lowers her voice again.] I'll let you know.

Please do. And don't worry. The head of my sect is just as bad as Solace, but most of the actual mages are super cool.

[witchwoman]

[That makes her feel a bit better.]

So... now that I'm part of a sect...This doesn't mean we can't spend as much time together, does it?

[shootfirst]

Uh, hello? [ snort ] You've met Gar and me, right? We didn't end up in the same sect, but we still hang out.

[witchwoman]

[She ducks her head and laughs at herself.]

Right. I suppose I've just been nervous about what this means. I've... This is the first time I've ever really been a part of something.

[shootfirst]

Well get used to it. [ she bumps her on the shoulder with a fist ] Cuz you won't get rid of us easily now that you are.

[witchwoman]

[Myri laughs, really laughs.]

I'm glad to hear that. Thank you, again. I couldn't have asked for a better Knight to shadow. But more than that, I couldn't ask for a better friend.

[shootfirst]

Just don't go crying all over my shirt. I just clean-spelled this one.

[witchwoman]

I'll do my best to keep my emotions in check. [She says in a teasing voice.]

C'mon. I hear there's cake.

[witchwoman]

Really? I do like cake.

Everyone likes cake.

[She grins]

Well, then we should be quick to get some before it's gone.
