Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Myri's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Light members - a comparatively small sect, and Kat, Wynn, and the incredibly stoic Sir Solace, section head of the Light, wait up at the front of the room for Myri to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

"Approach and kneel, Sir Myrilandel."

[Myri does not feel at home in the armor she was given, but she wears it for the ceremony because it is expected of her. Still, she makes wearing it look easy with a Dex check of 21 to thankfully keep her from making a fool out of herself as she walks towards the three of them. She kneels, bowing her head in respect and also to hide her 'holy shit nervous' face.

As a side note, Amaranth is there because that's how she rolls. He's on his best behavior, sitting calmly beside her. He's chosen to expose his true form at the ceremony, and while his wings are tucked to his sides, they are quite visible.]

Sir de Tanos. You have demonstrated a commitment to the ideals of this organization that has been deemed sufficient to induct you into our order as a full Knight of the Silver Dragon. We ask at this time that you answer this question honestly:

Do you wish to accept this position?

[bigbad]

[Spike's here! And on time, without popcorn, because he's a respectable bloody knight okay and he'd never besmirch the honour of Myri's ceremony with rudeness.

Just kidding he just didn't think of it until it was too late.

So yeah he's just chilling in his seat, shooting dirty looks at Sir Solace because he still holds a grudge.]

[idk why finnick bothers trying to pretend he's not into myri. it's obvious from the way the watches her with a brain damaged lovestruck look on his face.]

[ it's ok buffy doesn't have popcorn this time but she has peanut m&m's and is sitting besides spike with a proud smile because they're just ... parents. ]

[She lifts her gaze from the floor, looking to Wynn and taking a deep breath.]

I do.

[bigbad]

[And Spike just sticks his hand out in front of her instead of asking because SHE OWES HIM after all that popcorn.]

She looks good up there.

[OUR LITTLE GIRL ALL GROWN UP.]

[ she doesn't get his m&ms out for him because he's not her baby bird and she's not obligated to get his food for him and throw up in his mouth. but she tilts the bag towards him so he can dig around in there and get it out. never mind that it's in her lap. you're welcome to her goodies, spike. ]

Looks like she belongs up there. [ she concurs as she glances over at him, only briefly. ]

[It takes him a moment to figure out what she wants because he's busy watching Myri, but when he finally glances over to see what's going on, he realises she just wants him to reach into her lap and paw around in there and... he's pretty sure he's okay with this. He dips his hands in and grabs a few. Also that seems like blanket permission for him to grab some whenever.]

She'll be a great knight. [Is a great knight, as far as he's concerned. All her work as a squire counts in his books..]

[slay]

She already is. [ buffy speaks like she's in his head. ] This is just formality. [ she briefly looks over at him with an expression that says it goes for him too, since she's not the only one being promoted, but then it vanishes and she's watching myri with that proud look again. ]

[bigbad]

[He's quiet for a moment, watching Myri, then leans over to speak quietly in her ear. And also slip some more m&ms but that's secondary. Really.]

She's not the only one.

[Buffy's the bravest knight of all as far as he's concerned. She's never needed a ceremony to be a hero.]

[slay]

[ turning to look back at him as she feels the words close against her ear, she meets his gaze heavily, like she's genuinely caught off guard that someone would say that about her. she sucks in an involuntary breath because suddenly she's very aware of his closeness and suddenly she's figuring out what everyone else sees that she doesn't.

except she doesn't think it's cute. she doesn't think they need to just hurry up and get together. she thinks he's the last person she could be with because his personhood is still up for debate.

she turns her head quickly to face front again, all the manner of a frightened deer, and grabs the m&ms back and hands it off to him so that he can hold onto it if he's going to eat them. everything in her brain is forcing a disengage from anything vaguely couple-y with spike. ]

[ she says it in a quick whisper, then nods ahead in a way that seems to indicate 'shh, it's starting.' ]

[He inclines his head a little, taking the m&ms, but keeping them in reach in case she wants more. They are hers after all. But it is starting so he looks forward because Myri is way more important than flirting.]

[slay]

[ yeah her desire for m&ms has been quashed so she won't be taking any more of those throughout the ceremony, just sitting ramrod straight and watching myri. ]

[shootfirst]

[ which doesn't escape kat's notice. so she's staring at you with one eye screwed up like she just swallowed a lemon ball. ]

[wynn]

Do you swear to respect all weaknesses, and constitute yourself the Defender of them?

[witchwoman]

Until my dying breath.

[dramatic but she means every word]

[wynn]

[ we like drama here ]

Do you swear to make war against injustice, without cessation and without mercy?

[witchwoman]

[That question makes her pause while she weighs the implications. Without mercy. She swallows hard and looks inward. Is she prepared to forgo mercy for the sake of their cause?]

I... I do. [She's not as sure, but she does mean it. She shifts her gaze to Kat, trying to lose some of the nerves that the last question stirred up, but she focuses back to Wynn since he's running the show.]

I swear it. [There's more certainty in her voice now.]
