Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Myri's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Light members - a comparatively small sect, and Kat, Wynn, and the incredibly stoic Sir Solace, section head of the Light, wait up at the front of the room for Myri to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

"Approach and kneel, Sir Myrilandel."

[Little timid Myri has a grin on her face. It's over! She did it! And it was only inducing of a mild heart attack! Amaranth is trailing at her heels as makes her rounds to thank everyone for coming.]

[ yeahhh kat has to find her first ok ] Heyyyyy, now there's my little protege-all-grown-up!

[witchwoman]

[Totally acceptable. She blushes and smiles.]

I still have some growing to do, I think.

That's what being a Full Knight is all about! [ she raises a hand for a hi-five ]

[witchwoman]

[Myri has learned things! Like how to play with the angry birds in her phone. And how to read. And what high fives are! She reaches up and slaps Kat's hand with a grin, but steps closer to speak quietly next.]

I am not so certain that Sir Solace likes me, though.

[shootfirst]

I'm pretty sure that guy swallowed a lemon and then cast a permanency spell on his face.

[witchwoman]

[She covers her mouth to keep from laughing.]

Please tell me the rest of the Light are not all like him.

[shootfirst]

It's a pretty tiny sect, but they don't all look like sourpusses.

[witchwoman]

I'll have to find out for myself. [She lowers her voice again.] I'll let you know.

[bigbad]

[Spike doesn't wait for her to make her rounds. He goes over to her and clasps her shoulder from behind, grinning over at her.]

Nice work, Sir Myri.

[witchwoman]

[Myri smiles up at Spike.]

How very strange to be a Knight in earnest.

[bigbad]

Not so strange. Buffy and I were talking. As far as we're concerned, you've been a Knight as long as we've known you. In all the ways that matter.

[witchwoman]

You two are very kind.

[bigbad]

We mean it. [Spike realises he's kind of talking for Buffy and they're not actually married and quickly corrects himself.] I mean it. Buffy'll tell you the same, though, I'm sure.

[witchwoman]

[She smiles, knowing that he and Buffy need to stop with the silly bickering already.]

It means a lot to me that you came.

[bigbad]

I wouldn't have missed it for the world. [He grins at her and leans in conspiratorially.] Now, wasn't there something about making badges?

[witchwoman]

[She laughs.]

I wouldn't want to ruin your coat. I know how much it means to you.

[ don't mind buffy, she'll just be giving you an enormous hug when she sees you out of armor. ] Congratulations!

Really? I think I'm just standing straighter because I don't have that armor on anymore.

Also a definite possibility. [ she draws back and squeezes myri's hands. ] Decided how you're gonna celebrate yet?

[witchwoman]

Finnick said he wanted to take me to dinner after to celebrate. [Must not blush.] That's really the only plan I've made.

[slay]

Ooh, dinner, huh? [ there's a sly kind of tease in buffy's gaze and tone, and she arches an eyebrow. ] If I didn't know any better, I'd say that sounds date-like. Definitely having the date-like qualities.
