Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Myri's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Light members - a comparatively small sect, and Kat, Wynn, and the incredibly stoic Sir Solace, section head of the Light, wait up at the front of the room for Myri to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

"Approach and kneel, Sir Myrilandel."

Not so strange. Buffy and I were talking. As far as we're concerned, you've been a Knight as long as we've known you. In all the ways that matter.

[witchwoman]

You two are very kind.

[bigbad]

We mean it. [Spike realises he's kind of talking for Buffy and they're not actually married and quickly corrects himself.] I mean it. Buffy'll tell you the same, though, I'm sure.

[witchwoman]

[She smiles, knowing that he and Buffy need to stop with the silly bickering already.]

It means a lot to me that you came.

[bigbad]

I wouldn't have missed it for the world. [He grins at her and leans in conspiratorially.] Now, wasn't there something about making badges?

[witchwoman]

[She laughs.]

I wouldn't want to ruin your coat. I know how much it means to you.

[bigbad]

Not nearly as much as you mean to me. [AWW SAPPY.] But maybe it could be, you know, some sort of removable badge. That doesn't poke holes in it or leave sticky residue.

[witchwoman]

[She beams]

I'll see what I can do.

[bigbad]

[He squeezes her shoulder.] I should let you get back to your adoring fans.

[witchwoman]

[She looks at the rest of the group, then back to him with a nod.]

I'll see you soon, though?

[bigbad]

Absolutely. [He grins at her and starts moving towards the drink table since I've decided there is one.] We are teammates. [And family.]
