[Spike can take a hint. Especially when it's as pretty as Dumage. does he finally get airplane sex He swings over to her row, plopping down in the seat.]

You know, I might be old enough to remember when going from London to New Orleans took months by rowboat or whatever, but nine hours is still a long time. I hate plane rides.

And here I thought bodies of water didn't sit well with your kind, period.

[Spike shrugs.] I don't think I've got a problem with it. Real danger's staying out of the sun when it comes up, I'd guess.

No severe allergies to garlic or crosses, then?

[He shoots her a teasing smirk.] Not trying to suss out my weaknesses, are you?

I'd be much more subtle if I were.

[bigbad]

I believe it. [She's supposed to be a master spy or something, right? Then again, Spike's... pretty easy to get information out of. And he trusts her, more or less.] Garlic's too mild a burn to stop me from eating it, but crosses hurt.

So I would imagine that applies to things like holy water, as well? All that Christianity nonsense?

I suppose. Why do you want to know?

I'll admit, I've never met a vampire. I'm curious.

[bigbad]

I can't tell you much. I don't remember more than a few weeks before coming here.

[postergirl]

Are you saying you don't know everything about how you work yet? I imagine that must be nerve-wracking.

[bigbad]

It's not so bad. I know most things now. First few days were rough, though.

Did you remember that you were a vampire?

[bigbad]

[He shook his head.] Figured it out pretty quick, though. Catching on fire in the sun tends to be a good first clue.

Doesn't seem to have left any lasting damage. Natural healing, is it?

Yeah, seems like. Even the worst damage heals within a few days.

[He only says that because he can't remember having his spine broken.]

Sounds promising. Wish I could sign up for a package like that... minus all the blood drinking and inability to ever catch a tan, of course.

Unfortunately, you can't pick and choose bits. Everything's got a price, right?

Just about the only thing you can count on in this world, yes.

Being a vampire's not worth the price, I don't think. [He doesn't even remember what it feels like to have the sun on his skin. He thinks it'd be more worth it if he could just remember.]

Well, I don't imagine most people jump into it voluntarily.

[bigbad]

You never know. Some people'd give up a lot for immortality.

Well, naturally. I imagine that's why we're on this case, isn't it?
