[This log is for any in-flight interactions on the Knight's private plane ride to the mission site. Feel free to make your own threads/threadjack, etc. The flight time is approx nine hours. Get to know your teammates, talk about the mission, ask questions, etc. etc.

Rafael will be meeting the Knight at the New Orlean airport, and Des is welcome to reconnoiter with the Knights back at the hotel!  Feel free to do threads for grabbing rooming buddies, etc. ] ]

[Myri jumps at the sound of the sneeze.]

Oh! Oh my... I suppose I should be thankful that you've not had the same reaction to Amaranth.

[Gar can officially list 'not allergic to flywackets on her resume, I guess.]

Is there anything to be done?

She took something for it, but it takes a little time to kick in. Medicine, so much less convenient than magic, amirite?

[witchwoman]

[Hearing that make Myri feel a bit better. At least Gar should be feeling better soon.

Meanwhile, Amaranth inches closer to the kitten, picking one of his large talon-paws and placing it on the seat beside Kat. He gives the smaller creature a look that essentially says 'playtime?']

[ lucky seems to interpret it just fine, jumping off her lap and onto the ground and letting out an imperious "MREOW" ]

[witchwoman]

[Amaranth turns, moving into a pounce position. He's much larger than the cat, so he holds the position for now. Myri doesn't seem concerned. Amaranth knows his own strength quite well. His tail twitches in the air, waiting for the cat to make a move.]

[shootfirst]

[ lucky stalks around him in a slow circle, looking for a place to spring from... and then abruptly vanishes into thin air. kat groans ] Lucky! [ she glances over at myri ] Sorry, we're just settling into the bond so sometimes he uses up one of my spells without me telling him t-- [ and suddenly INVISIBLE CAT LAUNCHES ITSELF AT AMARANTH ]

[Myri's eyes go wide as the cat disappears. She glances to Kat as the explanation begins to come, but there's no time to hear the rest because Amaranth makes a strangled squawk sound when Lucky collides into him. The flywacket's wings come out then and fold around both he and Lucky. Amaranth rolls the pair of them around.]

[rationalizes]

I-is it entirely safe for them to be doing that...?

[witchwoman]

Amaranth is very careful. And flywackets are quite used to magic. They're distant relatives of dragons, after all.

[shootfirst]

Hopefully the little dude's not related to Fred Jr., then. I'd have to start feeling sorry for him.

[witchwoman]

I do not think the dragons from my world are the same as those here. The dragons on Kardia Hodos do not have scales. Legends say they are covered in a crystal fur.

[rationalizes]

Well, that's rather fascinating. Perhaps they have more in common with the crystal dragons of the Shadow World.

[witchwoman]

It's possible. Wouldn't it be a wonder if all our worlds were connected in some way?

[rationalizes]

I'd like to think so. It gives a sense of greater purpose to all our lives, don't you think?

[witchwoman]

It certainly makes life more of a puzzle. [She grins at Gar before gasping as Amaranth pounces on the smaller cat.]
