[[ Towering above our heroes is the fifteen-story NOVA Record Headquarters, an L-shaped structure tipped with a winged roof, covered in reflective window linings that paint a portrait of the New Orleans skyline across its panels. Foot traffic streams in and out, a parade of Bluetooth wearing suits, women in nine-inch heels, and extravagantly dressed stars surrounded by guards and entourage members.

But the lavish exterior hides a dark secret or two, and the Knights have sworn to shine a light on all of them.

Why is a record company funding a church that supports Shadowkind slavery? What are the 'experiments' for which they're buying up Shadowkind DNA, and how does it relate to the mysterious behavioral-control chip found in the displacer beast released in the museum? And, of course, what do they want with Jade, and what do they know about the Lazarus Talisman's current location?

Answers are rarely straightforward on their journey, and it looks like another complication or two are on the way.... ]

[ a little TOO subtle apparently, as dumage's terrible spot check means she's busy staring at finnick shaking his butt or sth... ]

[God damnit, Dumage. Myri decides to go for less subtle and nudges her in the side.

She just hopes that everyone is too distracted by the shoot to bother worrying about a couple of pieces of arm candy.]

Excuse you-- [ dumage gives her an annoyed glance but then sees that she's indicating something and looks up that way. under her breath she mutters: ] Bloody fools. I suppose we need to keep everyone down here distracted.

[witchwoman]

How [She mouths, trying to keep quiet for now. Myri's spent most of her life trying to stay out of sight. She's not really used to trying to get people to focus on her.

That's more of Dumage's bag.]

[ dumage considers for a moment, before a wicked glint comes into her eye. and then quick as lightning (25 sleight of hand), she slips the shoulders down on myri's dress to expose her top half right in the middle of the crowd.

it only takes a second for people to start reacting to that. ]

[Myri's reaction time is severely lacking (Dex check 6), so for a moment, she just stands there, dumbfounded. Her utter shock is allowing quite the eyeful.

Also her cheeks are flushing, but she's practically frozen in shock and humiliation.]

[ as someone lets out a low whistle, dumage casts a smug smirk over her shoulder, glancing casually up at the roof, where the other team of knights sneaks by unnoticed.

she looks unduly proud of herself. ] Nice work.

[SURPRISE FINNICK IS ALIVE. and attentive just like the rest of the room at the moment (but not to the shit going down on the ceiling). and he is offended for myri's sake. also damn gurl you fine. but because he is tactful, his only response to the whole thing is to shoot dumage a look.]

[Myri clumsily pulls her dress back up.]

I... [She looks helplessly back at Dumage before turning back to the group.] ...would do anything to be in the video. [She says, trying to bite back the humiliation and reluctance from her tone.]

and she nearly collides into a woman in the hallway, dressed in a stylish dark red leather jacket and black pants with gold hoop earrings. the woman reaches out a hand to grab her arm and prevent them banging into each other, and fixes her with a cool gaze. there's nothing friendly in her tone, or her narrowed eyes. ]

[Myri's eyes meet the woman's, wide and apologetic.]

I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to- [All of her sexy arm candy persona has fled and been replaced by genuine regret for her actions.]

[rynn]

[ she lets out a tiny snort ] Guess that makes it all better then. [ she folds her arms across her chest, looking myri up and down ] You know your way around here?

[witchwoman]

[That appraising look makes her glance down to... make sure her top is still on. Damn it, Dumage...]

Yes... Yeah, I do. [She reminds herself that she still has a job to do, and if she's learned anything today, it's that all venues can lead to interesting encounters.]

[ she leans her shoulder against the wall, crossing one ankles over the other ] Just don't know the building. I got separated from my agent, when he had to go talk to some office boy.

Oh, are you a singer, then? [She perks a little. Talking to other clients in the company could be useful, right? Maybe? If she doesn't expose herself (har) as completely unknowing.]

[witchwoman]

Of course I do. [She straightens up and gets her shit together a little more with a bluff of 18 this time.] I'm with Finnick Odair. I've been here a hundred times. Come on.

[And she will just... start walking down the hall. She has no clue where she is going... whoops.]

[rynn]

[ well that comment seems to pique her interest enough that she sliiides away from the wall and hurries to catch up. ]

[Too bad she has no idea what that means. She only knows the basic cover story of being arm candy.]

I haven't known him long, if that's what you mean. I met him at a club a few nights ago. He invited me to the shoot today. [Bluff 12]

[Also god only knows where she is leading them. Navigation check of 13 at least keeps her from walking them into a janitor's closet.]
